Starting with a Friday game on opening night of high school football season never helps boost attendance for a program that should aim to cater to WNY football fans beyond the Amherst campus. But Saturday games don't do great, either.
Another issue I think UB has is the fact that the majority of students are Long Islanders.
42 percent from Metro NY and a mere 17 percent of undergrad students are from WNY. It's a good point. There's a lot to be said for a student body that grew up cheering for the program. There's almost none of that at UB. Definitely part of the issue.

hmmm he was Spielman's partner on CFB games. He's very knowledgeable, though not "energetic." They were a fantastic team.
He's probably a good complement to Gruden
Disagree about his energy, but I'm biased as he's my favorite play-by-play guy. He just picks his spots, thankfully.

Greene never struck me as a Hall of Fame-level player. He was a good player -- some years. I wish I could hear how his advocates presented him to the committee. Maybe I'm just ignorant.

I'm glad the Royal Rumble is tonight. I doubt this is going to be close.
At least we're not 100 percent sure who's winning the game. Can't say that for the Rumble.

I also thought the ending was a little over the top.
Yes, I felt like it was a super cheesy topping on an otherwise fine show. Not a whole lot of new material for Bills fans, but still a captivating piece of nostalgia.
The funniest part for me was the footage of young Jim and Thurman forced to read the prepared apology to the media for throwing other players under the bus. They looked like such punks!

I'm with you there! I didn't remember that or the nugget about the cafe table. Watching Kelly give that "apology" was hilarious.
