I love the optimism and I agree. I've got a good feeling about tomorrow's game as well. Who knows, maybe Fitz really is the spark we need to get over our lousy offense!
...but then again I've had a good feeling about every season since Doug Flutie, so what do I know? haha.

I've been thinking about this all day, and I agree. Vick has more talent than our current three QBs combined and is a huge asset to whatever team he's on. He would do well scrambling behind an average/below-average O line and would free up an early draft pick for a beastly lineman. Vick isn't a long term solution for the Bills, but he's an instant upgrade and makes us a wild card contender over night.
But I would take it a step further. Could we pick him up in the next couple weeks before the trade deadline? I realize we'd need to pick up his contract from Philly, but at this point that seems like a small price to pay to make us competitive before the season is too out of hand. If Philly wants Lynch for Vick, they can have him.
Just my two cents!

Perhaps you should re-evaluate your prayer life...just a suggestion.

Awesome! That's it, time to order my Chan Gailey jersey.

See also Chris Brown on Day 7 posted on buffalo rumblings
For the first time in Bills training camp one side of the ball clearly outplayed the other as Buffalo’s defense completely thwarted the offense’s passing attack in Wednesday night’s practice. Pass coverage was sound for the most part, which only enhanced the effectiveness of the unit’s pass rush as quarterbacks were often flushed out of the pocket and forced to throw on the run.
I'm okay with this. The harder the offense has to work in camp, the better prepared they'll be for game time.

Sorry if already posted.
Lots of Trent hate going on in Buffalo, or what?

I'm actually a huge Trent supporter, and I think he'll be great in the regular season, but this song was very funny.

12-4 This team is far and away better than last years team. I still have high hopes, even with a preseason loss. Go Bills!

I've been rewatching the tv show the X-files and for anyone that hasn't really seen it the main plot line is really Mulder's attempt to uncover who is behind all of the government conspiracies and cover ups and how it is possible that a person or a group of people can have so much control.
There's always this one guy who is constantly smoking ciggarettes and Mulder finds out he is part of the government group that covers-up all sorts of things.
In Season 4 there's an episode about him and in a meeting he and the rest of his conspirators are discussing current events and issues around the world that need attending to. He then goes on to say:
"What I don't want to see is the Bills win the Super Bowl, as long as I'm alive that doesn't happen." another guy says "that could be tough sir the Bills want it bad this year."
He says "so did the soviets." he goes on to say the 1980 Soviet/U.S. Olympic Silver medal game was fixed. It's funny because you learn in the episode that this man is in fact the one who killed Kennedy and Martin Luther King and successfully set up the men arrested. Just the fact that he has this level of control and uses it to screw over the Bills.
Very very random yes I know but just kind of funny, especially to those that believe there are a group of conspirators that never want to see the Bills or Sabres win a Championship.
Haha, if only there was someone else to blame. Sadly, our failures are on us.
But 2009 is a new year. THE year! GO BILLS!

in 2008... we made progress!
I'll take progress wherever I can get it. Hopefully that progress translates into points this year.

I would like to think that DJ has learned from his mistakes. The talent on Bills is definitely playoff material this year. If the coaching is there, they are in the playoffs. Coaching cost us at least 3 games last year (Cleveland, Jets, San Francisco) and will probably cost us 1-2 again this year. The question is - is the team good enough to overcome the bad calls. I think so.
J.P. cost us that Jets game, and no one else.
-
If all that stuff happens? If the o-line actually functions, our pass rush functions consistently and our coaching staff takes a few risks?
I see us narrowly beating out the Pats* for the AFC east. If we can do that, I see no reason why we can't make it to the AFC championship game. Regular season record 12-4 with a 5-1 record in the division.
But then again, that's a lot of "ifs". Realistically? I put us as 9-7, fighting for a wild card spot.

Here's the video of the press conference this afternoon.
-
I really hope they post the video on their website. Either that or ESPN will air it. WKBW is ABC and ABC is Disney, just like ESPN. We'll see.

I have to admit that grab by the sideline was pretty sweet.

I can't even begin to tell you how nervous a thread like this makes me.
Oh, and then there is this:

I think you give these message boards way too much credit as to how they affect the team. They'll blow out or get blown out no matter what is "projected". So sit back, cheer the Bills and have a good night!
-
I haven't been on this board much this week because I can't stand all the nay-sayers and all the wild predictions about the playoffs. We're still two games above .500, we're still tied for first in the AFC east, and we still have a long season ahead of us. Trust that we will see more of the 4-0 Bills soon enough!
-
Go to a bar or use the internet!
Yeah, I'll probably end up using stoogetv to watch the game.
-
Grrr.... Still no Bills game for my here in Philly. I guess I'll be watching the Steelers instead. Friggin Steelers...
-
wow, we seem to have left our defense back in orchard park.
-
I'm already regretting adding Hardy to my fantasy team
-
3-13 is also possible.
You're absolutely right. We haven't won anything yet. The Bills are playing inspired football (when they have to) and I really am impressed, but until we pass 7 wins (which is all we had last year) I'm not going to get my hopes up.
Lets just enjoy being undefeated and trounce the Rams.
-
Won't play in any of my browsers (although the ad played in Chrome). Do I really want to go troubleshoot this? Maybe when I get back later this afternoon. Let me know if it is worth it.
It's a good clip, basically Tiki talks about the Bills for 15-20 seconds and says we're a complete team and we're the real deal. It's nice to hear that from a national media outlet once and a while.
-
Wow, those people stopped their wedding reception to call out the Raiders players. Wow, that's awesome. Now the Bills better do thier part and smoke them Sunday afternoon.
-
The Kool Aid goes down smooth and is very refreshing.
We'll be 10-6 and make the playoffs easy.
Just 10-6? What surprises me this year is that games that are close, that we would have lost last year, we're winning. Don't underestimate us, I think 11-5 or 12-4 is probably more like it.

Gotta take the points where we can get them. There's killer instinct and there's reckless.
