I live in Va now and my son and I went to a Redskins game in DC and we were delighted to be sitting next to another Bills fan, who had a blue Mohawk and had his head and face painted up. I had my Lynch jersey and my son was wearing his Whitner jersey. We got harrassed a little at the end of the game when the Bills came back and won in OT. Loved it.

I am depressed about the way that Nix and Co. are handling things this year. Without a viable QB to tout they can't even pry a guy coming off of an ACL tear from his original team with more money.

 

When it comes to priorities a viable starting QB has to be #1 on the list.

 

Without one we have no hope to win and no hope to be able to sign quality veteran FAs..............................and we need to be able to sign some quality vet FAs because our six draft picks cannot possibly fill all of the holes that have been created.

I say take the best available player between LT, WR and RDE. I still hold out hope for signing Bell to a contract with incentives tied to playing time. I would think that a short deal like this could potentially benefit Bell as well because if he can show that he can stay healthy for a couple of seasons then he may garner more interest on the open market.

Ditto. The incentive based contract gives players motivation to make the most they can, by playing the most, and best they can.

Martez Wilson ILB, or Kyle Rudolph TE. We can get a backup QB to compete with Levi Brown in the 3rd or 4th rnd.

I would like to see us take Wilson to help in the middle. I hope Merriman, Moats, Batten, and Coleman can handle the olb positions.

I live down in Virginia, and there is a lot of chatter that the Redskins really want Newton bad. I can see Buddy trying to set up a trade down situation. I would love to see him pull off something to get us some more picks. We need all we can get.

Everybody is so ready for DW to leave and he just got here.....maybe we dont make the same mistake as we did with Pittsburgs great DC who was once with us and actually have him run things?

I for one, am happy to have him here. It will be interesting to see how things pan out. I don't care if we go 4-3, 3-4, or a hybred, as long as the D can shut down the run and get pressure on the QB, I will be happy.

I was reading that every defense that Wannstedt has run has been a 4-3. I know he is not actually running the D now, but I can only assume that they hired him for some plans they have. With that being said, it would take fewer pieces to have a good 4-3 than a 3-4. Poz is a better 4-3 MLB than an ILB in a 3-4. If Merriman comes back healthy, that makes 2 out of 3. The 3rd LB would be the biggest question mark. I'm not sure Moats or Batten would be a fit. The D-line seemed to do better out of the 4-3, and this would make the #3 pick a little more flexible if they go DE.

I wonder who Shawne Merriman has talked to about joining the Bills? It would be nice if he could influence a couple solid FAs. I am in agreement that if we can sign 2-3 starters that it would make give more flexibility in the draft.

If the CBA does not get done until training camp, does that mean the Bills would have the rights to Whitner, Florence, Poz and the other free agents, because the free agency period never happened? If so would their contracts be based off of this last years contract or what?
