  1. This is probably pretty close but I don't think the Colts win 5 and the Vikes definitely don't win more than 3 or 4. The Saints would be 2-14 and the Jets would probably be in the same boat as the Vikes,

    Colts: 4-12

    Jets: 5-11

    Saints: 2-14

    Vikings: 4-12

Do any of these teams get Fitzpatrick as a backup? The Bills have Trent and they won 6 games.

  2. This BCS championship idea is a bunch of crap. There are 120 teams in D1-FBS. A playoff would need at least 32 teams to make any sense. College football teams are not going to play an extra 5 games to determine a champion. I say eliminate the pretense at choosing a national champion. Let the teams just try to win their conferences and have fun in whatever bowl games they get invited to.

  3. Other than the fact that Limbaugh has lots of dough, I can't really understand his interest in co-owning an NFL franchise. First of all, the NFL has a salary cap (pay limits!) and revenue sharing (wealth redistribution!), which both fly in the face of his support of unregulated capitalism. Also, he'd be a co-owner, and a minority owner at that to Checketts, which means he would either need a consensus (groupthink!) or give primary control to Checketts. Also, Limbaugh would have to deal with the Players Union.. a UNION!

This is just a typical generalization from someone who has never listened to Rush. Rush has repeatedly explained on his show how he supports the salary cap and revenue sharing (in a nutshell, because they enhance the quality of competition).

The entire sports media establishment has extrapolated this idea of Rush being divisive and racist out of its own ignorant prejudices.

Unwanted Player of the Year: London Fletcher, Washington. Undrafted out of Division III John Carroll University, the 5-foot-10 Fletcher joined the Rams and helped guide St. Louis to two Super Bowl appearances. After four years, Les Mouflons let Fletcher go -- too small, Division III, he wasn't supposed to be good. Fletcher went to Buffalo; he arrived in 2002, and in 2003, the Bills had the league's second-ranked defense. After five years, Buffalo let Fletcher go -- too small, undrafted, he wasn't supposed to be good. Fletcher went to Washington, which last season finished fourth in defense, despite a no-name front seven. Since 2000, Fletcher has the most total tackles in the league. Fletcher has been Da Man everywhere he has played, yet never received a Pro Bowl nod. Three NFL middle linebackers don't come out on passing downs -- Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher and Fletcher. The first two are perennial Pro Bowl glory guys who do product endorsements on television. Arguably, London Fletcher is the best NFL player never to appear in a Pro Bowl.

If memory serves, I thought the reason they let Fletcher go was because he wanted too much money.

  5. This economic downturn is a bad one!! No one is exempt from it, including the rich. This downturn is gonna last a lot longer than what people think it's going to be. I guarantee you that the downturn we are in right now is altering the plans of any future projects that anyone is considering in investing in. This recession depression what ever you want to call it could be the best thing that happened in regards to the Bills staying in Buffalo.

Bring the rest of the league down to our level?
