We're giving up on Wright already?
I'm not impressed with Wright .
To me he doesn't look like a good NFL rb.
I'm not really sure what they the Bills or fans see in this player.

I know this team had the 30th ranked defense.
I know this team has routinely taken CB's in the 1st round (Winfield, Clements, Whitner, McKelvin) and where has that got them???

its not too hard to figure out, you need to take big bodies with your 1st round pick; O or D line
If this team want to effectively run the Cover 2, they need ot consistent pressure with their front 4. Ohhh yeah, the bills had only 26 sacks last season which was 2nd to last.

Some of the comments I've read the past couple weeks are dumbfounding.
The passion is there, no doubt. But the knowledge of the game and player personnel/draft issues is utterly laughable.
There are, however, a number of us that "get it" - especially this draft process.

And Losman's name hasn't surfaced.
I don't think he has much credibility outside of Buffalo.
He has a small core of fans in Buffalo and that's it.
Gms don't seem to think highly of him.

Fair enough - I have been frustrated w/ the best of them. Again, I just feel QB play will determine the '08 season as much or more than any other I can remember.
It's a weird thing that happens when in-person football discussions get transferred to the internet: the "in crowd" on this board is exceptionally talented at convincing everyone that anybody who emphasizes QB as the most important position must be some inferior, short-sighted, 1st level thinking 12 year old child. It's like somehow the fact that we've had high turnover at that position is proof that each of them since '97 haven't all sucked and I don't agree with that reasoning.
If the defense is ok and Trent is ok, I don't see the lack of a 2nd or 3rd Gamebreaking receiving threat (which is a luxuary most playoff teams don't have) being the difference between 7 and 10 wins.

I don't argue with the direction they went.
The real key is are these players good value for where they were picked.
Time will tell.
