After watching this team get pushed around and beat up by other NFL bullies the last several years, acquiring a guy with a nickname "Lights Out" just warmed my little heart.
-
It's not a attitude problem, it's a talent problem.
attitude or talent, they still look terrible, i bet a lot of people are thinking what cadet just said
-
So, did he look like a man-shredder?
I have a great pic of him (with my grand kids). I would post it here, but not sure how to do it.

Hey, another Montana Bills' fan! I thought I was the only one.
Anyway, awesome to hear he was home. What kind of fundraiser was he doing and where?
He runs a football camp in Billings and he was raffling off bills shirts and helmets and promoting his camp,,,sounds like he plans to have 250 kids there from ages 10-14. You can go to dwanedwards.org for more information. It is non profit and he says he does it to give back to the community.

actually he looked real chiseled,,not overwhelming big, but chiseled. I was glad to hear he liked buffalo and i think he was looking forward to the season.

Dwan Edwards was in Montana today (he is montana native) raising funds for his football camp next month. He was very gracious to everyone and seemed like everyday guy. He did say to expect the team to be better this year and that the defense will be much improved. Someone kidded him about playing in cold weather and he said no problem, he was looking forward to playing in buffalo.
Not a lot of Bills fans in montana, but a lot of Edwards fans and i expect a lot of montanans will be following the bills this year.
I took my grand kids to see him, but got to admit i was the one most excited about the visit!

after 8 years of subscribing i am cancelling this year because of the price increases over the past few years and already signed up for dish network. So they not only lost my 315, they lost a customer altogether.

for you who critcize this post of course it is too early to tell completely. What i was driving at is that we have seen nix/gailey in action for pretty much a complete off season and we can sense the direction they are taking. While the final assessment naturally won't be for a couple of years, there is nothing wrong with getting a sense of how you were all feeling about the new regime.
For me I think these guys know what they are doing, and we will have to see how Troup, Easley etc turn out. But I like the fact they drafted heavily in both lines and linebackers. This team needed toughness and hopefully these guys will
be able to provide it.
my two cents

Six months ago (Dec 1) we were wondering who would be the next GM and head coach, lots of names thrown around. At the end of the day it was Nix Gailey. How do you feel they have done so far?
-
espn definitely needs a new format,,,,,,they haven't changed and got outclassed by nfl network
-
berman and kiper, et al have been doing it for years,,,,would have thought it would have been more professional, they seemed totally unprepared and all the talk surrounding clausen and mccoy got old
-
I thought the Bills drafted best in years in rounds 4-7, although we will have to wait and see.....but it was obvious they had researched well and had a plan in mind, something that has been lacking for years in the Levy-brandon era
-
After watching the entire draft by flipping back and forth I have to say the NFL channel out researched and outdid ESPN. Even losing Mayock today didn't bring them down,,,,ESPN did not seem organized and talked wayyyyyy too much about Clausen, Mcoy, et al
-
I would feel much better if Nix and Gaily made the decisions and Brandon, Modrak and RW went out for b-wings
-
if ralph and brandon are in the room, then i know who will have the last word
-
Besides Modrak, Nix and Gaily, etc, i am wondering if Ralph Wilson or Russ Brandon will be there. If so who will really be in charge.

Bills Front Office: "we will build through the draft"
Translation:
Bills Front Office: "We are too cheap to go after any free agents that would keep the team competitive in the AFC East"
-
lets see, anquan boldin, karlos dansby, julius peppers, and,,,,,,,wade smith
-
this game was more about the flawless play of the Saints,,,no turnovers, no costly penalties, no significant defensive breakdowns and a near perfect game by drew brees,,,got to give credit where credit is due.
-
O.J. Simpson had the greatest season of any nfl player ever in 1973,,, rushing for over 2000 yards in a 14 game season on a mediocre team.
without Jack Kemp, we on this message board would not be taking comfort in the fact that the Bills actually do have some championship titles.
-
Exactly. He's free to do what he wants, but if I were his agent I would strongly advise him to avoid controversey at all costs, especially before he's even been drafted. Beyond his football skills, part of what a team evaluates in a pick is how the player will fit in with the organization and the community as well as how much merchadising they can do with him (i.e. - will his jersey sell like hotcackes). Until you sign an NFL contract, shut up and do as little as possible to rock the boat - it can only cost you money....
perhaps he cares more about his faith than his money

thanks for your help 26!

I too think Buddy is a breath of fresh air in many respects, but the bottom line for Buddy and the front office is spotting and bringing in talented players. The front office has been a failure the last nine years & if buddy can turn it around with talent laden drafts and shrewd free agent sigings we will move forward. If not, we will still stumble behind Pats jets fins

I was trying to complete the defensive roster and have a couple missing:
Def. Line: Ron Mcdole, Tom Sestak, Jim Dunaway, Tom Day
Linebackers: John Tracy Mike Stratton Harry Jacobs
Safeties: George Saimes ??????????
Corners: Butch Byrd; Hagwood Clarke?
Also, on offense, who played guard besides Billy Shaw and who were the tackle
thanks in advance,,,,,

I remember posting that I would be ok with Perry Fewell as HC, provided the front office was cleaned out and we got a new name GM, who would then hire a whole new scouting department. CG is our 4th head coach with a losing record, and management and scouting doesn't change. What does that tell you about where the problems lie?
