Bills sign six members of 2025 draft class, 12 undrafted free agents

‘That leaves only three of Buffalo’s draft picks in the 2025 NFL Draft without a contract: First-round cornerback Max Hairston, second-round defensive tackle T.J. Sanders and fourth-round defensive tackle Deone Walker. However, all three players are present for rookie minicamp this weekend.’

Bills rookies look to make good first impression at rookie minicamp

‘The Bills currently have 89 players on their active roster. Because offensive lineman Travis Clayton counts as an international player, the team is allowed to carry 91 players throughout the offseason. That leaves a couple of spots open if they decide to sign anyone who impresses over the two-day camp.’

2025 Bills draft recap: Kaden Prather

‘The 6’3″, 204 pounder then transferred to the University of Maryland and in two seasons with the Terrapins, he recorded 98 catches for 1,290 yards and nine TD’s. Prather was honorable mention All Big Ten in 2023 when he finished third in the conference in average yards per catch(15.9). Last season he led all Big Ten receivers in total snaps outside with 484. In addition, Pro Football Focus gave him the fourth best hands grade among all Big Ten pass catchers.’

2025 Bills draft recap: Dorian Strong

‘Strong was one of three corners drafted by the Bills joining first round pick Maxwell Hairston and Jordan Hancock who was chosen in the fifth round. A native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Strong didn’t have to wait long to get on the field for the Hokies, starting five games as a true freshman in 2020.’

2025 Bills draft recap: Jackson Hawes

‘He played in 29 games during the Yale portion of his college football career, caught 35 passes for 371 yards and six touchdowns and was second team All Ivy in two of his three seasons. In his one season at Georgia Tech, the 6’4″, 253 pounder caught just 16 balls for 195 yards. He was more of a blocking tight end and anchored the edge in the Yellow Jackets offense which leaned on a downhill, power running game.’

Bills agree to terms with wide receiver Elijah Moore

‘Moore, 25, spent the past two seasons with the Cleveland Browns totaling 120 catches, including 61 last season. Moore was originally a second round pick of the New York Jets in 2021, but was traded to Cleveland following the completion of his second season.’

2025 Bills draft recap: Jordan Hancock

‘The 6’0″, 195 pound Hancock emerged as a key defender in his nickel cornerback role in 2023. He could have declared for the draft after that season but opted to return for his senior year. It turned out to be a good decision as the Buckeyes would go on to win the national championship and Hancock would earn Honorable Mention All Big Ten status.’

2025 Bills draft recap: Deone Walker

‘Well respected by his teammates, which included Bills first round pick Maxwell Hairston, Walker was twice named a team captain. He told reporters he models his game after longtime NFL defensive lineman Calais Campbell since they are similar in height.’

Bills draft profile: T.J. Sanders

‘At 6’4″ and 300 pounds, Sanders is not the prototypical run stuffing defensive tackle that many Bills fans were hoping for. But he does have the sought after long arms, measuring at 33 5/8 inches.’

Bills draft profile: Landon Jackson

‘He is very athletic and he is long, with 33 3/4 inch arms. Those are two attributes the Bills value in their defensive linemen.’

Beane: “A year ago, I get you guys asking why we didn’t have receivers, but I don’t understand it now”

‘”We just scored 30 points in a row for eight straight games. A year ago, I get you guys asking why we didn’t have receivers, but I don’t understand it now. You just saw us lead the league in points, when you add all the postseason[points], no one scored more points than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions. So you just saw us do it without Stefon Diggs, same group. How is this group not better than last year’s group? Our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to get better, defense? We did that, so I get it. You got to have a show. You got to have something to bitch about. But bitching about wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments I’ve heard.”‘

Bills draft recap: Maxwell Hairston

‘Hairston played in 32 games for the Wildcats, 20 of which were starts. He totaled six interceptions and returned three of those for touchdowns. Hairston has blazing speed. He ran a 4.28 forty yard dash at the NFL Combine, the fastest time for any cornerback in this year’s draft class. It is also the fastest forty time of any player the Bills have drafted in their history.’

Bills select defensive tackle Deone Walker with 109th overall pick in 2025 NFL Draft

‘Across his college career, totaled 132 career tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 10 sacks along with 13 quarterback hurries, six pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.’

Bills select wide receiver Kaden Prather out of Maryland with 240th overall pick

‘Prather finished his collegiate career with 162 catches and 1,966 yards and 12 touchdowns in 48 games. This was split between his time at West Virginia from 2021 to 2022 and Maryland from 2023 to 2024.’

Bills Draft cornerback and offensive tackle in sixth round of 2025 NFL Draft

‘Strong played five seasons at Virginia Tech from 2020-24. He tallied 112 career total tackles, two tackles for loss, seven interceptions, and 28 defended passes. In his senior season at Virginia Tech, Strong started 12 games, recorded a career-high 32 tackles, and added six pass breakups along with two interceptions.’
