‘Running the ball has worked well as of late for the Bills, who are 12-2 when James Cook gets 100 yards or more on the ground. But the resurgence of the run game has taken a bit away from the Bills’ downfield passing game. As the Bills gear up for winter football, starting with the Cincinnati Bengals, they will want to have at least the threat of a deep ball. With Allen now able to look toward Cooks or wide receiver Gabe Davis, those opportunities may be back in play.’

‘“There’s an element to playing football and especially in Buffalo,” offensive coordinator Joe Brady said. “When the leaves have all fallen, we hope we’re playing our best ball.”’

‘Wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle) and linebacker Terrel Bernard (elbow) were unable to practice Wednesday. The Bills’ starting left tackle, Dion Dawkins, rejoined the team for the walk-through as a limited participant, but he’s still in concussion protocol, coach Sean McDermott told reporters. Bosa is considered week to week, McDermott added, which means the edge rusher could miss anywhere from one to four or five weeks. It’s too soon for the team to determine the severity of the hamstring injury.’

He became the third Bills player ever and the first since 2010 (Drayton Florence) with a fumble return for a touchdown and an interception in the same game. Florence accomplished the feat against the Bengals on Nov. 21, 2010.’

‘The Broncos are Moore’s fourth time in five seasons, and he requested to part ways with Buffalo last week because he was not satisfied with his role in the offense.’

‘Allen’s overall performance grade in this game of 96% reflects his ability to do his job on each play. In many cases, that was to get the Bills’ offense into the right running play or the correct middle-linebacker identification for his pass protection. There were times when Allen flashed his remarkable skills. His eight runs in this game mattered, as they came on important downs and kept drives alive, and his score in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach.’
