‘Johnson was injured in the second quarter of the team’s win last week vs. the New York Jets on the same play that safety Taylor Rapp was injured. Rapp was taken off the field in an ambulance with a neck injury, and despite being limited in practice Thursday, has been ruled out of Sunday’s game.’

‘The Bills traded up to draft Kincaid 25th overall for reasons that have become clear — particularly over the last five games, when the rookie combined to have 35 catches for 318 yards and two touchdowns. While the offense has dealt with issues that led to the firing of coordinator Ken Dorsey last week, Kincaid’s role has continued to rise as he’s developed into the Bills’ No. 2 pass-catcher.’

‘Speaking to reporters after the game, Bills coach Sean McDermott said it was his understanding that Rapp was back at home, “which is a good thing.”‘

‘”Without a doubt, and I take that very personally,” Allen said. “It hurts a lot to see someone you care about go through a situation like that and to know that if I could have done more, if this offense could have done more, we wouldn’t have had to do something like that.”‘

‘”There’s been times when we have moved the ball and scored points, but those times, I believe, have become few and far between,” McDermott said Tuesday afternoon. “I can point to the Miami game [in Week 4], which I felt very good about, obviously, we scored on just about, if not every, drive there. But since that Miami game, and really, before that, there were some times when I didn’t feel like we were moving the ball well enough and scoring points. So, it’s just — it’s the whole thing, right? The whole body of work. It’s not just off of two games or four games. It’s the entire season at this point.”‘

‘”Absolutely, absolutely,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said when asked if it was one of most inexplicable losses he had suffered. “We practiced two or three times that this week — the substitution from dime to field goal block. At the end of the day, we didn’t execute it. So, it’s inexcusable.”‘

‘”A little bit of maintenance,” Diggs said of his injury on Saturday. “I had some stuff leftover from the game. I [participated fully in] practice [Thursday]. So, just trying to stay ahead of it. I didn’t have too many issues, but rather be proactive than reactive.”‘

‘”The rushes are becoming more and more physical. The angles are a lot tighter,” assistant head coach and defensive line coach Eric Washington said on Miller’s progress. “… I’m starting to see him put his rush combinations together. The coordination. When you use his stab. When to work the top shoulder of the offensive tackle. When to counter … I’m seeing more and more of those things. They’re faster, they’re quicker, and it’s just a matter of time.”‘
