What team is the biggest threat to Bills dominance of AFC East? A post-draft breakdown

‘The Jets have a new head coach in Aaron Glenn, a new GM in Darren Mougey, and with that comes transition. The new hierarchy has to change so much, and it seems unlikely that in year one they will be able to end the Jets’ playoff drought which dates back to 2011 and is the longest in the NFL.’

Feisty Beane comments give insight to Bills’ philosophy

‘Beane can brag about 2018 for the rest of his career. He could stay in his job for decades and likely never make a better draft pick than selecting Allen seventh overall that year. If he picked Rosen instead, or had traded up for Sam Darnold or even Baker Mayfield, he’d probably be out of a job several years ago.’

Elijah Moore’s addition takes Bills desires for positionless receivers to another level

‘Anyone looking for the “Aha!” moment on Brandon Beane might want to pump the brakes for a minute.’

2025 Bills draft recap: Jackson Hawes

‘He played in 29 games during the Yale portion of his college football career, caught 35 passes for 371 yards and six touchdowns and was second team All Ivy in two of his three seasons. In his one season at Georgia Tech, the 6’4″, 253 pounder caught just 16 balls for 195 yards. He was more of a blocking tight end and anchored the edge in the Yellow Jackets offense which leaned on a downhill, power running game.’

2025 Bills draft recap: Dorian Strong

‘Strong was one of three corners drafted by the Bills joining first round pick Maxwell Hairston and Jordan Hancock who was chosen in the fifth round. A native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Strong didn’t have to wait long to get on the field for the Hokies, starting five games as a true freshman in 2020.’

Bills coach Sean McDermott teams up with Wegmans, FeedMore for allergen-friendly food drive

‘McDermott said his oldest daughter was born with a severe nut and tree nut allergy and that his son has a sesame allergy.’

Bills coach McDermott reflects on personal impact of food allergies in charity drive

‘”This one, to me, is very personal, and near and dear to my heart, because it affects, directly, my family. Two our our three children are affected by food allergies, and until you live it, you don’t really know how it can affect one line,” McDermott said Thursday.’

Source: Bills, free agent receiver Elijah Moore agree to one-year contract

‘Moore has speed – at the 2022 NFL combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds – but he has not often been a deep threat in the NFL. Lining up nearly equally outside and in the slot, he averaged 8.8 yards per catch last season with the Browns.’

Roundtable: Do the Buffalo Bills really have a need at wide receiver? And if so, how much?

‘”I’ll go with a 3 after they agreed to terms with veteran Elijah Moore on Wednesday. One thing I am consistently reminded of covering this league: A position that you may assess as a weakness is actually viewed internally as a semi-strength or outright strength. The Bills, by their actions last weekend and adding Moore, believe a five-headed receiving group of Khalil Shakir (he’s my No. 1), Joshua Palmer (he’s my No. 2), Keon Coleman (he’s my No. 3), Curtis Samuel (he’s my No. 4) and Moore (he’s my No. 5) are more than adequate. They are taking a big-time risk that is on the cusp of a gamble. They know what they’ll get from Shakir. They should have a better idea on how to use Samuel. They should be intrigued by Palmer’s downfield speed. That leaves Coleman, who remains in The Great Unknown portion of his career. Beane believes in him, now it’s time for Coleman to reward that faith.”‘

NFC draft grades: Defending champion Eagles rebuild defense with first five picks

‘After losing several players from their Super Bowl-winning defense, the Eagles went to work in the draft, using the aforementioned first five choices on that side, including Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell and safety Andrew Mukuba in the first two rounds. Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord was a good value pick in the sixth round.’

Bills sign former second-round pick to give Josh Allen another weapon at wide receiver

‘Buffalo has been in talks with Moore for weeks but the two parties took a wait-and-see approach to how the Bills addressed the wide receiver position in the NFL Draft. Buffalo didn’t take a receiver until Maryland’s Kaden Prather in the seventh round, No. 240 overall.’

A way-too-early Bills 53-man roster projection after 2025 NFL Draft

‘The Bills lost Mack Hollins to the Patriots, and they didn’t re-sign Amari Cooper. They signed Palmer to effectively replace Cooper, and they just signed Moore Wednesday, a player who can line up inside and out and has 200 career catches in four seasons for the Jets and Browns. They surprisingly did not add anyone of substance in the draft (Kaden Prather in the seventh round probably isn’t helping) so newcomers Palmer and Moore will have to step up to help Shakir. Of course, the same goes for Coleman who was hurt and underwhelming in his rookie year, and for Samuel who never found his niche. The Moore signing might push Shenault off the roster unless he can definitively win the kickoff return job and contribute elsewhere on special teams.’

Buffalo Bills add WR with blazing speed just days after GM’s rant on position

‘Moore, 25, fits the bill as a receiver with speed. The veteran ran a 4.32 40-yard dash at his pro day ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. Moore joins the Bills after setting a career-high in receptions (61) last season in Cleveland.’

Amid rabid WR discourse, Bills sign Elijah Moore

‘Moore totaled 61 receptions and 538 yards receiving for the Cleveland Browns a season ago. The 25-year-old WR was a 2021 second-round pick of the New York Jets. He played two years with the Jets, during which he recorded 80 receptions for 984 yards receiving and six touchdowns. He was then traded to Cleveland in the spring of 2023 and went on to total 120 receptions for 1,178 yards receiving and three touchdowns across two seasons.’

BIlls sign Elijah Moore to one-year deal to bolster receiving depth

‘Elijah Moore agreed Wednesday to a one-year contract worth $5 million, first reported by ESPN. The 25-year-old has four seasons of NFL experience, the last two with the Cleveland Browns after being a 2021 second-round pick of the New York Jets.’
