‘Palmer was signed to a three-year, $36 million contract, $18 million of which was guaranteed, because he has proven he can get open against man coverage, and he should be able to block as effectively as the receiver he is replacing, Mack Hollins. These OTAs are an opportunity for Allen to continue to develop chemistry with a receiver who should play an important role this season.’

Bills have intriguing decisions to make on defense as voluntary minicamp begins
‘The Bills have traditionally kept three outside cornerbacks active the last two seasons and they likely have too much respect to keep White as a healthy scratch. White has a $2.2 million dead cap hit they can absorb in the event Hairston wins the job in training camp. The other three players present another conundrum. It’s possible they keep an extra cornerback this year instead of a special teams-oriented wide receiver, so they could keep Ingram, Jackson and Strong. Or they could keep White, activate him and use him as an insurance policy. Normally ties go to draft picks, but Strong is a sixth rounder and those players are never safe on Buffalo’s roster. Plus Ingram (three years) and Jackson (four) have a lot of experience in coach Sean McDermott’s defense.’
Bills begin OTAs on Tuesday
‘According to the NFL and NFLPA’s collective bargaining agreement, during Phase III, teams may conduct a total of 10 days of OTAs. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, as well as 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.’
