Source: Bills, free agent receiver Elijah Moore agree to one-year contract

‘Moore has speed – at the 2022 NFL combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds – but he has not often been a deep threat in the NFL. Lining up nearly equally outside and in the slot, he averaged 8.8 yards per catch last season with the Browns.’

Roundtable: Do the Buffalo Bills really have a need at wide receiver? And if so, how much?

‘”I’ll go with a 3 after they agreed to terms with veteran Elijah Moore on Wednesday. One thing I am consistently reminded of covering this league: A position that you may assess as a weakness is actually viewed internally as a semi-strength or outright strength. The Bills, by their actions last weekend and adding Moore, believe a five-headed receiving group of Khalil Shakir (he’s my No. 1), Joshua Palmer (he’s my No. 2), Keon Coleman (he’s my No. 3), Curtis Samuel (he’s my No. 4) and Moore (he’s my No. 5) are more than adequate. They are taking a big-time risk that is on the cusp of a gamble. They know what they’ll get from Shakir. They should have a better idea on how to use Samuel. They should be intrigued by Palmer’s downfield speed. That leaves Coleman, who remains in The Great Unknown portion of his career. Beane believes in him, now it’s time for Coleman to reward that faith.”‘

NFC draft grades: Defending champion Eagles rebuild defense with first five picks

‘After losing several players from their Super Bowl-winning defense, the Eagles went to work in the draft, using the aforementioned first five choices on that side, including Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell and safety Andrew Mukuba in the first two rounds. Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord was a good value pick in the sixth round.’

Bills sign former second-round pick to give Josh Allen another weapon at wide receiver

‘Buffalo has been in talks with Moore for weeks but the two parties took a wait-and-see approach to how the Bills addressed the wide receiver position in the NFL Draft. Buffalo didn’t take a receiver until Maryland’s Kaden Prather in the seventh round, No. 240 overall.’

A way-too-early Bills 53-man roster projection after 2025 NFL Draft

‘The Bills lost Mack Hollins to the Patriots, and they didn’t re-sign Amari Cooper. They signed Palmer to effectively replace Cooper, and they just signed Moore Wednesday, a player who can line up inside and out and has 200 career catches in four seasons for the Jets and Browns. They surprisingly did not add anyone of substance in the draft (Kaden Prather in the seventh round probably isn’t helping) so newcomers Palmer and Moore will have to step up to help Shakir. Of course, the same goes for Coleman who was hurt and underwhelming in his rookie year, and for Samuel who never found his niche. The Moore signing might push Shenault off the roster unless he can definitively win the kickoff return job and contribute elsewhere on special teams.’

Buffalo Bills add WR with blazing speed just days after GM’s rant on position

‘Moore, 25, fits the bill as a receiver with speed. The veteran ran a 4.32 40-yard dash at his pro day ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. Moore joins the Bills after setting a career-high in receptions (61) last season in Cleveland.’

Amid rabid WR discourse, Bills sign Elijah Moore

‘Moore totaled 61 receptions and 538 yards receiving for the Cleveland Browns a season ago. The 25-year-old WR was a 2021 second-round pick of the New York Jets. He played two years with the Jets, during which he recorded 80 receptions for 984 yards receiving and six touchdowns. He was then traded to Cleveland in the spring of 2023 and went on to total 120 receptions for 1,178 yards receiving and three touchdowns across two seasons.’

BIlls sign Elijah Moore to one-year deal to bolster receiving depth

‘Elijah Moore agreed Wednesday to a one-year contract worth $5 million, first reported by ESPN. The 25-year-old has four seasons of NFL experience, the last two with the Cleveland Browns after being a 2021 second-round pick of the New York Jets.’

Elijah Moore signing one-year deal worth up to $5 million with Bills

‘“Back in that red and blue Time to go be GREAT. Grateful for the opportunity! Cant wait to meet BILLS MAFIA,” Moore posted on X.’

Buffalo Bills, WR Elijah Moore agree to one-year deal, per report

‘The Bills ranked third in the NFL in scoring offense last season at 30.9 points per game and quarterback Josh Allen won his first NFL MVP award. He’ll enter the 2025 season with another proven option among the pass-catching group.’

Bills add depth at receiver by signing Elijah Moore to a 1-year, $5 million deal, AP source says

‘Moore has four seasons of NFL experience including the past two with Cleveland where he combined for 120 catches for 1,178 yards and three touchdowns in 34 games.’

Bills adding free agent WR Elijah Moore, source says

‘Moore can play multiple receiver spots and joins a group in Buffalo that includes Joshua Palmer and Laviska Shenault Jr., who were added in free agency; 2024 second-round pick Keon Coleman; Khalil Shakir, who was signed to a four-year contract extension this offseason; and last year’s free agent addition, Curtis Samuel.’

Bills signing veteran wideout, former second-round pick as Josh Allen gets another weapon, per report

‘Still just 25 years old, Moore is entering his fifth season in the NFL. During his first four seasons, Moore established himself as a solid complementary player who can help open things up for the rest of the offense.’

Bills Add Former Jets, Browns Wide Receiver on One-Year Contract

‘He put up modest numbers during his years as a Jet before being traded to the Browns in the spring of 2023. His most productive year from a receiving-yards standpoint came with Cleveland in ’23; he reeled in 59 catches for 640 yards as the Browns made the playoffs.’

Bills sign former Browns wide receiver to $5 million deal

‘Moore will likely end up as a surprise to many Bills fans that don’t see the signing as a big deal. If you compare his numbers to every Bills’ wide receiver from last year, he is second in receptions behind only Khalil Shakir. While Buffalo will likely start the year with Josh Palmer and Keon Coleman as their top two boundary receivers, don’t be shocked if he ends up taking reps from both players.’
