Bills sign WR Mack Hollins & LB Nicholas Morrow to one-year deals

‘Morrow, 28, will be entering his seventh year in the NFL and played the 2023 season with the Philadelphia Eagles. Morrow started 12 games last season, filling in for an injured Nakobe Dean, and recorded 95 tackles and three sacks.’

‘The winning culture’ | WR Mack Hollins and LB Nick Morrow share their decision to sign with Buffalo

‘”I think the biggest thing is just the winning culture, being a part of something bigger than yourself,” Morrow said to the media via Zoom after signing.’

A.J. Epenesa aiming for ‘more sacks, more snaps’ in re-signing with Buffalo Bills

‘“We were in pretty constant communication throughout this process,” Epenesa said Tuesday. “A lot for me calling him just on veteran leadership, just kind of getting an opinion and some advice and just how to think things over and how to process things mentally, and it’s great having a guy like ‘Quan back just because of his on-field and off-field leadership and just his friendship overall as well.”’

‘Hollins, 6-foot-4 and 221 pounds, turns 31 in September. He will be going from the outhouse to the penthouse in terms of quarterback play. He made the mistake of signing with the Atlanta Falcons last year as a free agent. The Falcons had one of the worst offenses in the league under former head coach Arthur Smith and quarterback Desmond Ridder.’

‘Morrow, 28, played in 15 games last season for Philadelphia, making 12 starts and finishing with 95 tackles (66 solo, 12 tackles for loss), three sacks, five passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He’s heading into his eighth NFL season, having spent the first five years of his career with the Raiders, missing all of the 2021 season following ankle surgery that landed him on injured reserve.’

Bills-Dolphins rivalry gets spicier as Jordan Poyer agrees to deal in Miami

‘But the Dolphins were looking to upgrade their other safety spot, which last season was manned by six-year veteran DeShon Elliott, who Miami had signed to a one-year contract a year ago. Miami had another young, rising safety in the fold in Brandon Jones. But he tore knee ligaments in the 2022 season. Elliott was signed in the event Jones was slow to return from his rehabilitation. That’s what happened. Elliott started 16 games, counting the Dolphins’ playoff loss in Kansas City. Jones managed to play only seven games, with three starts.’

Reports: Former Bills DB Siran Neal heads to Dolphins; Dane Jackson to Panthers

‘For Jackson and the Panthers, Pelissero reports it is a two-year deal worth up to $14.5 million. Jackson was an unrestricted free agent after spending his first four years in the league with the Bills. During that time, Jackson started 28 games and played in 52. He was a consistent starter in the 2022 season, starting 14 of the 15 games he played in that year.’

Buffalo Bills to sign free agent Mack Hollins: Here’s what to know about the wide receiver

‘Hollins is 30 years old and has had only one season in his NFL career which began in 2017 where he was a productive member of an offense. That came in 2022 in his one season with the Raiders when he caught 57 passes for 690 yards and four touchdowns.’

Bills GM Brandon Beane’s newest free agency signings are part of patient strategy

‘General manager Brandon Beane made it clear that he was prioritizing getting some of Buffalo’s own free agents back in the fold and he has succeeded with six – defensive linemen A.J. Epenesa and DaQuan Jones, defensive backs Taylor Rapp and Cam Lewis, offensive lineman David Edwards, and tight end Quintin Morris.’

Buffalo Bills sign veteran receiver who’s played for Dolphins, Raiders, & Falcons (Report)

‘Hollins likely fits into the back end of the receiver room behind Stefon Diggs and Khalil Shakir. The Bills are expected to draft one or multiple receivers with their 11 draft picks next month.’

Buffalo Bills to make big splash? Team named as landing spot for versatile defensive lineman

‘On Wednesday, Matt Barrows of the The Athletic reported that the San Francisco 49ers had released Arik Armstead. The 49ers beat writer then added a line that caught the attention of Bills Mafia members around the world. “Keep an eye on Buffalo as a possible landing spot.”’

Bills sign FA WR Hollins to reported one-year deal

‘Hollins, 30, is a 6 foot 4 inch 220-pound pass catcher that can also do damage in the ground game as an above average run blocker. Buffalo lost the services of former WR Gabe Davis, who recently signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Bills are likely hoping Hollins will be able to stem the tide created by the loss of Davis’ run-blocking abilities.’

Bills agree to one-year deal with receiver Mack Hollins

‘At 6-foot-4, 221 pounds, Hollins has 131 receptions for 1,691 yards and 10 touchdowns during stints with the Eagles, Dolphins, Raiders and Falcons. He played 94% of the offensive snaps with the Raiders in 2022, but has never reached 50% in any other season, although he has been a special teams ace, making 27 career tackles.’

Buffalo Bills begin replenishing receiver depth by agreeing to sign Mack Hollins, AP source says

‘Listed at 6-foot-4 and 221 pounds, Hollins has the potential to provide quarterback Josh Allen a big-bodied target to play alongside Stefon Diggs and Khalil Shakir. And his addition offsets the loss of starter Gabe Davis, an unrestricted free agent who agreed to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars this week.’

Bills to sign free agent wide receiver Mack Hollins

‘Hollins is a tall wide receiver at 6-foot-4 that has great speed and has the ability to stretch plays down the field, however his biggest impact in the NFL has been on special teams. He has 1,691 yards and 10 touchdowns on 131 receptions.’
