Dion Dawkins, Buffalo Bills agree to terms on three-year contract extension

‘“I was born, and Buffalo was my mother and my father,” Dawkins. “So, who the heck wants to walk away from mom and dad? Because I don’t.”’

Gabe Davis joins Mitch Morse in leaving Buffalo Bills for Jacksonville Jaguars

‘Davis will be reunited with Jaguars receivers coach Chad Hall, who served the same role for the Bills during Davis’ first two NFL seasons in 2020-21. Davis played all 17 games in the regular season last year, finishing with 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns. He made at least six touchdown catches in all four seasons with the Bills, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of the University of Central Florida. Davis is a native of Sanford, Florida, who will now get a chance to play in his home state.’

Buffalo Bills safety Taylor Rapp ready to step into a bigger role

‘“I’m gonna be obviously stepping into a bigger role, and that’s something that I take pride in,” Rapp said Friday. “My first four years, I was used to being the guy in the starter, and I’m looking forward to getting back into that role.”’

Bills mostly quiet but focus on signing own players on first day of 2024 free agency

‘The big announcement was a three-year, $60.5 million contract extension for left tackle Dion Dawkins, a move that served the dual purpose of locking him up through 2027 while also freeing up what could be as much as $7 million in cap space.’

Staying put: Dawkins, Bills agree on three-year extension

‘“I don’t really see it as a prank,” Dawkins said of his antics Monday morning. “I’m an entertainer. I’m going to entertain. I was missing the Mafia, simple as that. I was missing the Bills Mafia. They love it. They hate it. It’s me. I can’t change.”’

Bills welcome back EDGE Epenesa on two-year deal

‘Epenesa, 25, was set to become a free agent when the new league year opens on Wednesday, but instead he will remain in Buffalo through the 2025 season. Epenesa recorded a career year for Buffalo during the 2023 campaign, tying a career-high with 6.5 sacks while recording 10 quarterback hits, 20 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, 2 interceptions and a defensive touchdown. It was the second straight season Epenesa recorded 6.5 sacks.’

DB Lewis returns to Bills on two-year deal

‘“To be quite frank with you, I didn’t even think I was going to make it to the NFL,” Lewis said to Spectrum News’ Jon Scott. “NFL wasn’t even on my radar going into my first two years (in college). I think my junior year was when I really decided, OK, I’m going to at least go try and you know five years later I’m still here.”’

Dion Dawkins agrees to three-year extension, wanted to leave money for Bills to build Super Bowl roster

‘The reality was that Dawkins was owed $16.609 million in the final year of his contract and it would have cost the Bills $11.739 million to cut him. Now Dawkins, who says he had the best year of his career last year at 29 years old, is locked in until 2027 and saves the Bills roughly $7 million in cap space for 2024.’

Bills tackle Dion Dawkins agrees to 3-year extension, reignites feud with Jets’ Micheal Clemons

‘Dawkins had plenty to say about both — his love for his adopted city of Buffalo, and his distaste for Clemons — during a nearly 40-minute Zoom call with the media shortly after agreeing to his new contract on Monday. And Dawkins acknowledged he was joking earlier in the day when he posted on social media that his time with the Bills was over.’

Bills, Dion Dawkins reach 3-year contract extension

‘The extension is worth $60.5 million, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and is expected to make Dawkins the fourth-highest-paid tackle in the league.’

DT DaQuan Jones returning to Bills on 2-year, $16M deal

‘The deal includes $10.5 million guaranteed.’

QB Josh Allen’s deal restructured, Bills get $16.7M in cap room

‘Allen was set to account for $47.056 million in cap space this year as part of the six-year contract extension that he signed just prior to the 2021 season. The Bills instead restructured much of his compensation for this year into a signing bonus, and he will now account for $30.356 million against the cap. Allen, 27, is under contract through the 2028 season.’

Dion Dawkins contract extension: Bills extending left tackle with three-year, $60.5 million deal, per report

‘Dawkins previously signed a four-year, $58.3 million extension that covered the 2021 through 2024 seasons, and is headed into the final year of that contract. He carries a current base salary of $9.3 million along with a $16.6 million cap hit, according to Over the Cap, but those figures could change in conjunction with the new deal. The $20.17 million average annual value on Dawkins’ extension is fifth-highest among NFL left tackles, checking in behind only Ronnie Stanley, Andrew Thomas, Trent Williams and David Bakhtiari’s contracts.’

Dion Dawkins contract: Bills tackle successfully tricks Buffalo fans with fake farewell before signing extension

‘The three-time Pro Bowl tackle took a chance to have a little bit of fun with Bills mafia on the first day of NFL free agency. Just minutes after the legal tampering period opened up, he posted an ominous message hinting at a new chapter in his NFL career, sending Bills fans into a panicked spiral.’

Bills sign left tackle Dion Dawkins to three-year contract extension

‘The team announced on Monday the signing of Pro-Bowl left tackle Dion Dawkins to a three-year contract extension. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter was first to report the extension, adding it’s worth $60.5 million, making Dawkins one of the highest paid tackles in the game.’
