Bills sign former Bengals right tackle Bobby Hart to a one-year contract

‘Hart has not been a favorite of analytics website Pro Football Focus. He finished No. 35 out of 52 offensive tackles who played at least 500 snaps in 2020, with a grade of 66.3 – which is the best of his career. His run-blocking grade of 68.5 ranked 29th, while his pass-blocking grade of 60.8 was 40th.’

NFL expands to 17-game season; Bills to face Washington in 17th game

‘The NFL determined that the 17th game would spotlight teams from opposing conferences that finished in the same place within their division during the 2020 season. The Bills and Washington finished first, respectively, in the AFC East and NFC East. It was decided that the AFC would be the home conference for the 17th game.’

Inside the Highmark Stadium naming rights deal

‘”We had over a dozen interested parties, and four to six strong conversations with local and national and regional partners,” Raccuia said. “The interest was really fast and pretty intense right from the beginning.”‘

Bills fill need for a swing tackle by signing former Bengals OL Bobby Hart

‘The Bengals released Hart a few weeks ago in a salary dump which cleared $5.8 million in cap space, then turned around and used that money to sign free agent Riley Reiff.’

Buffalo Bills sign Bobby Hart: 4 things to know about new OL

‘Hart has played at tackle for the majority of his career, but he has said in the past that he is open to playing guard or tackle as long as it gets him on the field. There does not seem to be any path to a starting role for Hart, but if he can contribute at guard or tackle, Hart could end up making a case for a depth spot on the roster.’

Bills’ Stefon Diggs joins Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, others in $305M investment in firm behind NBA Top Shot

‘Based on its early success, it’s no surprise that athletes are now investing in the company behind NBA Top Shot.’

NFL mock draft 2021: Bills land Caleb Farley, draft’s top CB, in 7-round mock (Version 2.0)

‘Being fully prepared to take the best player available, it was a pleasant surprise to see Caleb Farley sitting on the board when the Bills were on the clock at No. 30.’

Opining on the Bills clunky new stadium name, an SU female jersey retirement, and Aaron Judge

‘The mouthful new name is sure to be shortened by fans and reporters, just as Ralph Wilson Stadium cleverly was reduced to The Ralph. Most likely, it will be called The Mark. I’m probably in the minority for even concerning myself with such things. As Del Reid, the Godfather of Bills Mafia, noted: “Win games there and I’ll call it whatever they want.”’

Highmark Inc. purchases naming rights to Buffalo Bills’ stadium

‘Pittsburgh is no longer the only city with a Highmark Stadium.’

Bills Add OL Depth By Signing Hart To 1-Year Deal

‘Hart is a sixth-year player who spent the previous three seasons starting at right tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was part of a Bengals’ offensive line that helped running back Joe Mixon top 1,100 yards rushing in both the 2018 and ’19 seasons.’

Bills Set To Open Stadium Talks With State, Local Officials

‘“We hope to start quickly. Obviously, this is Easter Week and New York state is finalizing its budget. So those are two factors,” he added. “If we have to go to Albany or if Albany’s coming to us, or we’re going to Zoom, we’ll figure it out.”’

Bills sign former Bengals starting tackle Bobby Hart

‘Hart has never received rave reviews for his play, but Pro Football Focus did give him his highest grade of his career in 2020 with a 66.3 out of 100.’

Opinion: Tip of the cap to Bills’ brain trust

‘I’ll start with Matt Milano; I thought for sure he was a goner. It was a combination of me wondering how Beane and company could make all the moves fit, what Milano might get on the free market, Beane saying at the end of the season press conference that Milano had earned the right to go and see what was out there, no franchise tag being used, and being just days away from the legal tampering period without news of a new contract. Despite all of that, Milano was re-signed, and it sounded like he didn’t want to leave in the first place.’

Opinion: Bills facing must-win season with Josh Allen extension looming

‘Since the NFL’s new media rights deal will start in 2023, Allen may want to get back into the market when there is even more crash around the league. With that in mind, it makes sense for Allen to lock in three years now, while giving him a chance to renegotiate afterwards.’

Pegula Sports and Entertainment: ‘revised study’ of stadium complete, will share findings with state & county

‘”As you all know, a couple of years ago we did a study. That study was completed. We went back to that study recently, over the last 12 to 18 months. Because of COVID, because of some changing economics throughout the country, the league, etc. we have since completed let’s call the “revised study,” and we are really looking forward to sharing that with our partners at the state and the county.”‘

Bills get extra home game in 2021 thanks to 17-game schedule, host Washington

‘The Bills might have gotten a break in drawing Washington for the extra game this coming season. The league paired teams from corresponding divisions together based on their division finish from the 2020 season. The AFC East-champion Bills get to face the NFC East-champion Football Team, who had the worst record of any division winner last season at 7-9. The team also has an uncertain quarterback situation, with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick currently penciled in as the starter.’

What’s ahead for Highmark Stadium?

‘The Bills current lease with Erie County, which owns Highmark Stadium, expires after the 2022 season. The team retains the naming rights in the lease. Raccuia says agreement with Highmark addresses what happens to the naming rights should the Bills continue to play in the stadium, renovate it, or play in a new stadium.’

Bills add home game as NFL increases regular season to 17 games

‘The Washington Football Team will come to the newly-minted Highmark Stadium after the league decided to make the extra games inter-conference play between teams that finished in the same place in their division in 2020. The Bills won the AFC East, and Washington won the NFC East last season.’

Bills sign Hart: Mixed reviews from Cincy

‘Hart is getting criticized by Cincy fans because he was a starter on a bad offensive line that struggled. So take what you read with a grain of salt. That won’t be his role in Buffalo and instead, he’ll be insurance.’

Buffalo Bills’ Leslie Frazier makes surprise donation to Boys & Girls Club, hopes to inspire kids in his hometown of Columbus

‘“I was one of those young kids growing up at one point and those programs that are provided by the Boys & Girls Club are some of the programs that kept me from getting in trouble,” he said with a smile.’

Bills sign offensive lineman Bobby Hart

‘Hart was drafted in the seventh round by the New York Giants in 2015. More recently, he has spent the last three seasons playing for the Cincinnati Bengals.’

Bills to host the Washington Football Team as NFL adds 17th regular season game

‘That decision was confirmed today, marking the first change to the season structure since the 1978 campaign ushered in an era of 16 regular-season and four preseason games. It follows the March 18 announcement of long-term media distribution agreements providing fans greater access to NFL games than ever before.’

Bills Today | 3 takeaways from the NFL owners’ meeting

‘Plan to have full stadiums in 2021 – After a season that saw limited to no fan attendance around the league because of the pandemic, Roger Goodell announced the plan for the 2021 season is to welcome fans back. Goodell said at the virtual league meeting that, “We want to see every one of our fans back. We expect to have full stadiums in the coming season.”‘

Sharing carries not a problem for new Bills running back Matt Breida

‘“I told the coaches, ‘I’m not a selfish player. I’m not one of those dudes who is worried about carries and getting the ball.’ As long as we’re winning, that’s all that matters,” Breida said Monday in his introductory news conference with the Western New York media after signing a one-year contract with the Bills last week. “I think we have one goal in mind, and that’s to win the whole thing, so as long as we get to that goal, everything else will work itself out.”’

‘New signs for what will officially be called Highmark BlueCross BlueShield Stadium – but sure to be known by the shorter version – will be installed in time for the start of the regular season in September.’

‘Is “The Ralph” now “The Mark?” Perhaps “The Shield?”’

Notre Dame’s Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, top LB prospect, gushes about Bills: ‘It’s a great fit’

‘“Crazy organization – crazy as in good. Exciting organization, exciting defense – fast, speedy and physical. That’s just a program that I find myself, that I would fit perfectly into,” Owusu-Koramoah said. “There’s a lot of defenses like that but as you look at the Bills, they’re a talented team – a talented defense, young defense that’s willing to fly around. I think it’ll be a great fit.”’

Buffalo Bills’ Home Gets New Name: Highmark Stadium

‘“The Bills are a beloved institution in Western New York, and there is no better way for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York to show that we plan to continue to be part of the fabric of this community than through this partnership,” Highmark CEO David Anderson said in a statement.’

Buffalo Bills secure new naming rights partner for their stadium

‘Built in 1973 as Rich Stadium, the Bills’ home field was one of the first instances of a corporate stadium sponsor in professional sports. Several groups attempted to purchase naming rights over the past year, including the bidet company TUSHY, Barstool Sports and a local group of fans interested in naming the stadium after longtime coach Marv Levy, who led the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances.’

Bills’ home will be called ‘Highmark Stadium’

‘According to Sports Business Journal, it’s a 10-year agreement between the team and health insurer Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York.’

Is more 12-personnel key to unlocking Bills’ running game?

‘So if the Bills aren’t going to look any different on the offensive line, how else might they improve upon a running game that finished 20th in the league in both yards per-game (107.7) and yards per-play (4.19)? Of course, they could still add another running back.’

Home of the Bills to be named Highmark Stadium

‘The naming rights have been acquired by a health insurance company, now known as, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York.’

“You want to be a part of a winning team”, new Bills RB Matt Breida ready to help Bills offense

‘”You want to be a part of a winning team, a team you feel like that’s moving forward for the future,” he said. “I feel like the Bills are doing that.”‘

Bills stadium to be known as Highmark Stadium

‘Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY will take over the naming rights after the stadium went eight months without a sponsor, News 4 has confirmed. The stadium was known simply as Bills Stadium last season after New Era Cap Company asked to be released from its contract in July.’

Naming rights acquired for Bills Stadium; Soon to become Highmark Stadium

‘“We are confident that Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York is committed to maintaining their status as a healthcare and philanthropic leader in our region. We look forward to many years of working together with their team creating great memories at not only NFL football games but at many other health and wellness events and community celebrations.”’

Breida ready to join Moss, Singletary in Buffalo

‘”I told the coaches I’m not a selfish player, so I’m not one of those dudes worried about carries and getting the ball, as long as you’re winning,” Breida said on Monday when he was introduced to the Buffalo media. “As long as we get to that goal, everything else will work itself out.”‘
