Snub from Josh Allen’s childhood inspires him to give back

‘He’s always out in the community, he likes to give back to local charities, and he’s generous with his time with the kids who look up to him. You can thank a bad experience from his youth for that.’

Jerry Hughes learning how to be a leader… and still be ‘Gary’ Hughes, too

‘“Watching Kyle and being here with Kyle for so long and watching Lorenzo, I’m not as vocal as those two guys are,” Hughes said. “I think, for me, I like to go out there and work hard and perform and use that as a form of leadership.”’

Sean McDermott responds to whether there’s a changing of guard in the AFC East

‘”We’re focused on one game right now,” said McDermott, “we’re in late October, early November and that’s really what we’re focused on right now.”‘

Bill Belichick actually complimented Josh Allen

‘”I think that Josh [Allen] does a good job of going to some of the secondary outlet receivers based on the coverage, where that takes him and if it’s open he’ll throw it for sure.” Belichick said in a press conference on Wednesday.’

Bills Jerry Hughes named AFC Defensive player of week

‘Hughes put up a series of stats that no Bills player had ever accumulated before with a pair of sacks, a forced fumble and a game sealing interception in the 4th quarter. The Bills defense dominated the Jets in the second half, holding them to a total of 4 yards.’

Bills’ Jerry Hughes named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

‘He had two sacks, one interception, a forced fumble and six total tackles.’

Josh Allen reveals childhood experience is why he stay late to sign autographs for kids

‘”Sure enough he came out and there was probably 10 kids left and instead of looking and waving or giving us fist bumps or whatever he just kind of turned his cap to the side and kept on walking,” Allen said. “That just left an impression in me like, ‘I don’t want to root for this guy anymore.’ It bothered me so much that I told myself that, if I was in the position that I am today, that I’d do everything in my power to acknowledge every kid that looked up to me that was a fan because I’ve been there before and I know how bad it hurt me when the athlete that I looked up to didn’t seem like he cared too much about us.”‘

Levi Wallace, Del’Shawn Phillips designated to return to practice

‘The team also added tight end Charles Jones to the practice squad. Jones spent the 2019 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars after joining the team as an undrafted free agent from Tulane. He was releasedby Jacksonville in September. Jones is a native of New Orleans, LA.’

Jerry Hughes earns AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors

‘Hughes’ interception was the first of his career. His 2.0 sacks were the most in a game since 2017. The defensive end now has 48.5 career sacks, which ties former Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams for the fifth-most sacks in Bills history.’

Top 5 storylines fans need to follow for Bills vs. Patriots | Week 8

‘Furthering the potential symbolism of a Bills win, it would mark the first victory over the Patriots since Sean McDermott took over as head coach in 2017. Buffalo last defeated New England on Oct. 2, 2016, when Jacoby Brissett was starting in place of a suspended Brady.’

Bills Today | An inside look at Josh Allen’s virtual visits to Oishei’s Children’s Hospital

‘”When I was a kid, my brother was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease,” Allen said. “And he was in the hospital for about a week and a half, two weeks. I wasn’t always there, and my family wasn’t always there because we had other stuff going on. These children are given the short end of the stick sometimes and the situations are gut-wrenching. Just knowing that me saying hello, me showing up and giving them a little Bills goodie bag or whatever the case may be. What that can do for them, and how it can lift their spirits up in their time of need. It’s something near and dear to my heart working with Oishei Children’s Hospital because of that feeling that I get to give the kids. It breaks my heart every time I go there because you see some things that you don’t wish upon anybody and these are just children that don’t deserve what they are going through. The fact that the littlest thing of me showing up, showing my support, telling them I’m praying for them, and that I care about them can make that much of a difference.”‘
