'It was nice to see a defense on the field that wasn’t standing there with their arms outstretched wondering what the call is. There was never a play where half the defense had their backs turned to the line of scrimmage as the ball was being snapped because they had no idea where they should be.'

'I thought Poyer was the best player on either defensive side of the field Sunday, and his stat line reflected it. 3 tackles, 1 for a loss, 1 sack, 1 QB hurry, 1 interception, 2 passes defended. That’s a full day’s work. And a really good one. Poyer was all over the field, used as a run-stopper, a blitzer, and a centerfielder. And he played each role well.'

'The Bills defense was key in the win on Sunday. They recorded two interceptions in the final quarter of play, the last of them sealed the win after Micah Hyde picked off a pass with less than two minutes to go.'

'He may be a 29-year old running back, but he certainly doesn’t look it.'

'Taylor also became the Bills all-time leading rusher for a quarterback, passing Joe Ferguson with 1,174 career yards.'

Twenty-seven touches per game equates to 432 over a 16-game schedule, and that’s not going to happen. There was much concern going into the season about who would spell McCoy – a role Mike Gillislee so capably filled last season before bolting for the free agent dollars the New England Patriots threw at him. If the Jets game is any indication, the new Gillislee may be Mike Tolbert, a 5-foot-9, 260-pound human bowling ball who rushed for 42 yards on 12 carries and also caught a pass for 12 yards.'

'A win that puts them in sole possession of first place is nice but it was against the worst team in the league. Things will get tougher and it starts next week.'

'McCoy had 159 yards from scrimmage, with 110 of them coming on the ground as he averaged five yards per carry and went over the 12,000 mark for career yards from scrimmage.'

'The reason Ducasse is inactive is likely rooted in the fact that Ryan Groy offers more position versatility as a backup as he’ll serve today as the backup center to Eric Woodand the swing guard, should anything happen to Miller or Richie Incognito.'

'“Super talented front, they have a bunch of first-round picks up front. They have some linebackers that really can fly around and hit people. It’s going to be a challenge for us front to get a block… it’ll be a good test for us,” Incognito said.'
