‘The Brooklyn Democrat said the suite, controlled by Empire State Development Corp., presents the potential for misuse by any of the 16 ticket holders who are allowed in for a given game.’

”’You have two quarterbacks that have been here for about two days,” Marrone said, referring to Leinart and newly acquired Thaddeus Lewis. ”Again, we should be playing much better than this. And that’s a concern.”’

‘Rookie third-round pick Marquise Goodwin did not return after being poked in the left eye in the first quarter. Veteran Brad Smith did not return after hurting his ribs late in the second quarter.’

‘Leinart’s debut in Buffalo lasted a little more than a quarter. And that’s left him worried whether his future with the quarterback-needy Bills will last past Saturday, when the team makes its final cuts. ”It’s disappointing,” Leinart said. ”I was thankful to be here, and we’ll see what happens. Obviously, after that performance it can’t be anything good I would think. But we’ll see.”’

‘Leinart, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner, signed with the team Sunday after Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb joined first-round pick EJ Manuel on the injured list. The team also has quarterbacks Jeff Tuel and Thaddeus Lewis on the roster.’

‘Thad Lewis had a touchdown pass while Matt Leinart was picked off twice and went just 3-for-10 for 11 yards for the Bills, who were 2-2 in the preseason.’

‘I don’t know how much you can take out of the ugly loss to the Lions, but there were some things. The biggest item that pops out is the Bills are in horrendously deep trouble at cornerback.’

‘It’s likely to be an abrupt ending for Matt Leinart’s career with the Buffalo Bills.’

‘”We’re evaluating some of the guys out there to make this football team and what you have is 21 points off of turnovers and a penalty that leads to another touchdown,” said Marrone. “You have two quarterbacks that have been here for about two days. Again, we should’ve played much better and that’s a concern.”‘

‘”Anytime I’m out there on the field it’s one of those things where I try to make every play a highlight,” Dowtin said. “If I can help out the team in any way and a lot of the guys, then that’s what I’m going to do.”‘

‘They’re already without their top two quarterbacks and best cover corner. EJ Manuel is still recovering from knee surgery while Kevin Kolb is out indefinitely with a concussion. And Stephon Gilmore could miss the first half of the season with a fractured wrist. On Thursday night in their preseason finale they may have lost two more for a period of time.’

‘”Jairus Byrd same type of situation like Mario (Williams),” said head coach Doug Marrone. “His foot was sore so we wanted to make sure that we sent him down to Dr. Anderson. So he went to see Dr. Anderson so he could see about the soreness he’s been having in his foot.”‘

‘Marrone is not at a point yet where he knows if practice for Manuel is a possibility on Monday or Wednesday this coming week. Wednesday sounds like the cut-off day for Marrone to consider Manuel for the season opener against the Patriots.’
