‘Buffalo is now winless in three visits to Toronto’s Rogers Centre, and it was more than ever obvious that the domed stadium north of the border does not provide any home-field advantage to the Bills. The crowd was split 50-50 at best, and the roars for the Bears were as loud as they were for the Bills.’

‘Head coach Chan Gailey said late that team physicians were going to take a long look at Davis’ shoulder after he was unable to even practice last week, and surgery could be in the linebacker’s future.’

‘In eight games with the Bills this season, Parrish has 400 yards on 33 catches and two touchdowns. He has 133 career catches for 1,486 and seven touchdowns in 75 career games with the Bills.’

‘Starting receiver Roscoe Parrish won’t play again this season after sustaining a right wrist injury in Buffalo’s 22-19 loss to the Chicago Bears in Toronto on Sunday, and starting inside linebacker Andra Davis is done for the year because of a nagging shoulder injury that he originally sustained in the season-opening loss to Miami.’

‘”We’re not good enough to overcome turnovers right now,” said coach Chan Gailey, who watched the Bears score two touchdowns off Buffalo’s three giveaways.’

‘Chan Gailey recognized the running game was going nowhere so he aired it out, and there were some good calls on which plays just weren’t made. He needs to find a way to get Spiller going, though. On defense, George Edwards had a better day, but there were enough missed assignments to allow the Bears to convert 7 of 12 on third down.’

‘”Somehow, we keep finding a way to have them hurt more and more,” Fitzpatrick said. “This one really hurts. I don’t know really what else to say.”‘

‘”There were a lot of short, quick passes today, some of those took the place of the run game, only because we were having a little bit of difficulty. It was one of those things where you get the ball out quick; 5- to 6-yard [gains were] fine with us because that’s as good as the run.”‘
