Fitzpatrick Looks Good as Bills Earn 2nd Win of 2010

‘But even the most hardened cynic (and after a decade without a playoff appearance I realize there are many in Bills Nation) has to admit that Fitz is not only entertaining to watch, but has the kind of moxie you love to see in a quarterback.’

Report Card: Bills vs. Bengals

Bills big 2nd half blitzes Bengals

‘At one point the Bills were down 21 points in the second quarter 28-7. The 21-point deficit is the largest road deficit overcome by the Bills since Oct. 25, 1987 when they rebounded from a 21-point hole to beat the Dolphins in Miami 34-31.’

Bills Rumble By Bengals 49-31

‘Many cynics will say that all the Bills did with this win was hurt their chances at getting Andrew Luck or whatever quarterback they are dreaming of with the top pick. I say this type of character building win goes further than a chance at a possible bust with the top pick. The team never gave up despite being down on the road by three touchdowns with just one win. It shows that this team does not quit and they fun to watch despite being outmanned by most teams. They will scratch and claw to the end and they let teams know that they will have to play their best to beat the Bills. They may not get the top pick in the draft but they may get much more, respectability.’

Both Sides Of Football Shine In Second Half

‘Chan Gailey kept his team together after a poor start. Had them use the last second first half field goal to their advantage. Made adjustments in the offensive game plan after halftime to have much more success.’

Ryan Fitzpatrick eager to lead Bills against Bengals

‘"I think they’ve been very impressed with Ryan," Lewis said of the Bills. "They signed him as a free agent player on the eve of free agency right away so the personnel people there felt like Ryan was a good talent and would do a good job as both a backup quarterback and, given the opportunity to start, he would win football games. Over the last two years he’s had the opportunity to do that. The two years we had Ryan here he was excellent for us."’

Sal’s Six Points

‘The line is playing better lately, and it will be going against a defense that lacks big-time playmakers. The Bengals rank 31st in sacks, and are 23rd against the run, so there should be opportunities for the Bills to make plays both on the ground and through the air, especially if the line does a good job.’

Buffalo Bills’ Ryan Fitzpatrick No. 19 on this QB list

‘Fitzpatrick is moving up on my list of heavy-duty NFL quarterbacks. Here’s how I rate them in order of preference for this season and the next few seasons…’.

Bills’ Johnson catching on to the NFL game

‘"He’s a lot better than I had been told that he was," Gailey said. "That has been a pleasant surprise and a benefit for our football team."’

Bengals’ slide, Jackson’s revival drop upset chance into Bills’ hands

‘Bills, 26-23.’

Palmer’s struggles show nothing’s for sure at QB

‘Palmer is facing an utter embarrassment today. His former understudy, Ryan Fitzpatrick, will be under center for the opposition. The boos were loud against Tampa Bay and Miami. But the home folks will really howl if he loses to Fitzpatrick, his former caddy from Harvard.’

Two-Minute Drill with Buffalo Bills’ C.J. Spiller

‘”I’m injured right now. I’ve got a sore hamstring, so that’s been disappointing watching from the sidelines. I can’t stand watching the game from the sidelines. I want to be out there with my teammates. I’m still learning the game. It’s another jump like high school to Clemson. I know expectations are high and no one puts more pressure on me than myself. I want to be a great player in this league.”‘

Nostalgic reunion for TO, Fitzpatrick

‘Like the Bengals, they’re at the point where winning even one game is meaningful.’
