‘Bills coach Mike Mularkey said Moulds took himself off the field on some of those series. But Moulds gave the impression that he was not on the sideline by choice. “It’s their decision, so I have to live with it,” said Moulds, who hadn’t been held without a catch since Nov. 30, 1997 against the New York Jets. “They want to do different things, let them do what they want to do. I don’t care really. I’m just going to play when I get called. That’s all I do.”‘

‘Clements is only part of the problem. The safeties, Milloy and Vincent, are old. The Bills can’t get a reliable pass rush with their front four, especially on the road. Rosenfels threw 37 passes in less than a half and wasn’t sacked.’

‘”We’ve lost ballgames around here in the last couple of years at the end of games,” Fletcher said. “We play well for 58 minutes, 54 minutes against New England. We played well against Carolina for 57 minutes. We played this ball game for 57 minutes. It’s not a 57-minute ball game. It’s 60-minute, four-quarter football games. No matter what level, you have to play 60 minutes.”‘

I’ve been going up against him since I’ve been in this league. Don’t ask me no more questions.”‘

‘Bills CB Nate Clements: Clements is having a bad year, there’s no way around it. Yes, he makes some nice plays every game, but lately he’s making bad plays that more than offset the good ones. Someone is going to grossly overpay for his services next year when he’s a free agent.’

‘Coaching: Can you imagine what Ralph Wilson was thinking when he was flying home to Detroit on Sunday night? Mike Mularkey is the highest-paid coach in the Bills’ history. Ralph cannot be happy. The offensive play-calling was horrible in the second half. Defensive coordinator Jerry Gray never adjusted to Rosenfels, nor did he have an answer for Chambers. Rather than sending Milloy on fruitless blitzes, why not have him cover somebody? F-‘

‘Clements has proven to be a good cornerback, and a handful of poor games this season aren’t enough to erase an impressive start to his career. But he’s not worth the type of money he’ll seek, and because of that his Bills’ career is likely down to its last four games.’
