‘"My first years here, my high school locker room was better than what we had in Fredonia," 10-year strong safety Henry Jones said. "Training camp is for concentration. You don’t want distractions. And at the same time, the NFL is supposed to be a first-class operation all the way. That’s what we’re really moving toward right now. ‘The 2000 Bills are facing a leadership turnover much as the 1990 Bills did. In 1989, our most vocal team leaders were offensive tackle Joe Devlin and nose tackle Fred Smerlas — very well respected veterans, but not the team’s best players at that point in their careers.’
