Two Bills Drive

‘The Bills punted just four times during their three-game win streak. But against the Jaguars inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, Buffalo punted four times on their first four possessions.’

‘Milano and defensive end Leonard Floyd collided as they converged in an attempt to make a tackle. It appeared as though Milano’s knee was compromised as Floyd went flying into his right leg. The Bills ruled him out for the game a few minutes after the injury and NFL.com’s Jamie Erdahl reported that Milano was carted off the field with a full cast on his right leg.’

‘“Injury update for you,” McDermott told the media after giving credit to the Jaguars. “Matt Milano, it’s a knee, a lower leg injury. I know it’s not looking good right now, but I don’t know any details beyond that at this point. And then DaQuan Jones. It’s a pec injury and also not looking good at this point. I’ll know more in a little bit here.”’

‘Kaiir Elam finally got his opportunity to start on Sunday. Tre’Davious White was put on the injured reserve on Saturday and Christian Benford was inactive for the game. With a major opportunity handed to him, Elam squandered his chance. Elam gave up multiple receptions to Jaguars receivers to extend their drives. It was clear that Trevor Lawrence and company were targeting him and he did nothing to change that throughout the loss. Things went from bad to worse for Elam when he was benched late in the game for Ja’Marcus Ingram, a former UDFA that was elevated from the team’s practice squad for Sunday’s game.’

‘The play resulted in an incomplete pass to Stefon Diggs following the audible, but the Bills would score two plays later on a 15-yard strike from Allen to Diggs.’

‘Former Buffalo Bills receiver Zay Jones had a decent showing against his previous team in London. Not only did the Jaguars win their second international game this season, but Jones had three catches for 23 yards and one touchdown. His longest reception was at the start of the second quarter. He took the pass to Jacksonville’s 27-yard line for a 10-yard gain.’
