‘Adams is the run-plugger who will keep the blockers off Fletcher and Spikes. He automatically would make Pat Williams better.’

Patriots, Bills appear most improved in AFC East
‘Here is how I rate the AFC East in terms of improvement since last season ended…’.
Things are shaking in the AFC East
”’The Bills have done the most to improve their team but they’re the one that needed the most. They significantly improved themselves on defense by signing [linebackers Jeff] Posey and [Takeo] Spikes. They lost Keith Newman but they more than made up for that with Spikes, who should really impact their defense.”‘
Bills on the move
‘As encouraging as the Patriots’ signings of linebacker/pass rusher Rosevelt Colvin, safety Rodney Harrison and cornerback Tyrone Poole have been, Bill Belichick and Scott Pioli are still a move or two away from matching the offseason improvement of the Buffalo Bills.’

NFL Europe Coaching Interns

PETE METZELAARS (FC Barcelona Dragons – Training Camp) –
MARTIN BAYLESS (FC Barcelona Dragons – Full Season) –
Channel 7 going to the videotape for two Bills preseason games
‘The Bills, however, are usually the top TV draw in the area. So Channel 7 should at least be able to do much better in the ratings with the Bills than they would do by carrying ABC’s summer schedule of prime-time shows.’
In the end, Jets unlikely to keep Coles
‘Adams is smart enough to realize that the money in the free agent well is drying up quickly now and he won’t wait forever on the Bills to get into what he feels his price range should be. In the next week or so, if there is no deal with Buffalo, he will begin exploring options. And don’t be surprised if the Ravens are at the top of his list.’

Bills host Jenkins; Molden next
‘Molden’s agent is Angelo Wright, who is trying to reach an agreement with the Bills and another client, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Sam Adams.’
In for a visit
Spielman said the Dolphins were playing host free agent TE Marco Battaglia on Thursday and today and are interested in former Bills TE Jay Riemersma. Battaglia was cut after two games with Tampa Bay last season and finished the season with Pittsburgh. The Bills recently released Riemersma. The Dolphins need a backup TE because Jed Weaver and Desmond Clark departed as free agents.
Report: Falcons Re-Sign Punter Chris Mohr
The Atlanta Falcons reportedly re-signed punter Chris Mohr to a six-year contract Thursday, a $5.2 million package including a $600,000 signing bonus. He joined the Bills in 1991 and became Buffalo’s career leader in punts and punting average. His average last season with the Falcons was the second best of his career.
