Two Bills Drive

‘What gives with the Buffalo Bills? They looked like world-beaters early, clobbering New England and Jacksonville by a combined score of 69-17. Since then, the Bills have appeared rather pedestrian in losses to Miami (17-7) and Philadelphia (23-13) and most recently, needed an overtime squeaker to beat Cincinnati at home.’

‘However, the victory over Cincinnati produced two more upbeat stats for Bledsoe. First, it marked the 22nd time in his career that he had rallied a team to victory after it trailed in the fourth quarter. And, it was the 11th time he’s done it in the last two minute, three times as a Bill.’

‘“I don’t know if he’s ahead, but for him to go out and throw and for all of mankind to put it on TV like we found our lost son, I have to say something,” Edwards said. “His status is doubtful. It’s not like I can hide it any longer. He’s been throwing for three days.”’

‘New York Jets starting quarterback Chad Pennington has been upgraded to doubtful, but he will not play in this Sunday’s home game against Buffalo.’

‘Moulds suffered the injury during this past Sunday’s overtime win against Cincinnati. On the game-winning drive, he caught a 28-yard pass and landed awkwardly after being tackled by Bengals safety Kevin Kaesviharn.’
