Two Bills Drive

‘In Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard, the Bills have a pair of good-to-great starters in their two-linebacker base defense. The team signed veteran Nicholas Morrow to be the top backup to those two, and also returns Dorian Williams, a 2023 third-round draft pick.’

‘The Bills need more bodies, and it would be great if they got a strong candidate to develop into a starter. Jones is back on a two-year deal, but he will turn 33 late in the season. The Bills rotate heavily across the defensive line, so even if they’re set at starters, they need more defensive tackles to be a part of the mix. They’ve lost Jordan Phillips, Tim Settle, Poona Ford and Linval Joseph this offseason.’

‘The Bills’ current top four are Rousseau (five sacks last year), Miller (no sacks), Epenesa (6.5) and recently signed Casey Toohill (five sacks for Washington).’

‘The Bills also just needed to get more out of the unit as a whole late in the season. With Leonard Floyd off to San Francisco, I think Rousseau leads the team in sacks this season.’

‘The Bills safety has become a sought-after sports figure for product and brand alignment, as well as health initiatives such as CPR training, after he recovered from suffering cardiac arrest and collapsing on the field during a January 2023 game.’

‘The Bills currently have no picks from Nos. 61-127 after trading this year’s third-rounder to Green Bay for cornerback Rasul Douglas. But wide gaps between picks are semi-common in Beane’s first six drafts with the Bills – Nos. 17-95 in 2018, Nos. 96-146 in ’19, Nos. 1-53 (no first-round pick) in ’20, Nos. 94-160 in ’21, Nos. 90-147 in ’22 and Nos. 92-149 last year.’
