Everything Bills-related to know before the 2024 NFL Draft

‘The Bills currently have 10 selections in this year’s draft but only two in the first three rounds. That could change before Thursday or during the draft through trades, however.’

Bills prepare for NFL Draft on Thursday

‘The Bills currently hold the 28th pick in the first round, though this position could shift as draft strategies unfold. A significant factor in their draft decisions will be how the new players fit into the Bills’ evolving offense. Quarterback Josh Allen emphasizes the importance of compatibility and the strategic vision for the team.’

Bills roundtable: Veteran departures; WR vs. DE at draft; Day 3 fits for Bills

‘The only two moves that can be considered “surprising” are cutting Mitch Morse and trading Stefon Diggs – for different reasons. Morse played at a high level last year, and quarterback Josh Allen loves him. For those reasons, that is a tough cut, but the team’s cap situation at least provided a valid reason. Trading Diggs was surprising because the team is eating the largest dead-money cap hit for a non-quarterback in NFL history, and the need for a No. 1 wide receiver is now huge on the current roster. It is clear the team views his departure as addition by subtraction – although that remains to be seen if it’s true.’

Urgency ramps up for committee tasked with job oversight at new stadium

‘With only one more bid package expected after that as part of the entire construction program, committee members are starting to feel the urgency, even if the project is over two years from completion.’

Another Voice: Lack of transparency over Personal Seat Licenses reflects poorly on the stadium deal

‘The Bills’ PSL deal reminds me of the old “Let’s Make a Deal” TV show, only worse. The team is showing the owners of the most expensive season tickets what’s behind the curtain first. Only after those ticket holders have opted in or out will other fans find out what’s behind Door Number One. Is it a fabulous new car or a nanny goat?’

Who should Bills take in first round of NFL Draft 2024? Updated mock drafts, analysis

‘Still, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane must choose wisely at No. 28. He can ensure getting a top player by trading up via the 2025 second-round pick gained from the Stefon Diggs trade to Houston. Beane has signaled a desire not to do that, but it’s not out of the question.’

Will Bills attack EDGE in 2024 NFL Draft?

‘The Bills brought in edge rusher Casey Toohill in free agency on a one-year deal. Toohill, 27, had a career-high 5 sacks in 2023 with the Washington Commanders. Kingsley Johnathan and Kameron Cline round out Buffalo’s edge rusher room as both players spent the majority of last season on the practice squad. All three will factor into the battle to provide depth at the position.’

Adonai Mitchell is the most common Bills choice in mock drafts, but that doesn't mean he's their pick

‘Thomas is considered by many to be out of reach for the Bills at No. 28, which has allowed Mitchell’s name to heat up, barring a trade. Between CBS, ESPN and NFL.com, Mitchell has been mocked to the Bills 20 times over the last two months and seven of eight analysts for CBS currently have him going to Buffalo.’

Bills still rate highly for NFL schedule makers

‘”Not taking our foot of the gas with the Bills,” North said when asked how the league sees the Bills from a national broadcast standpoint headed into 2024. “I don’t think there’s any question they have one of the best players in the league and that is the must-see TV we’ve been talking about here. What makes me want to go sit in front of the television for a few hours? It’s somebody like that.”

Opinion: Time for Bills to pull WR Train into station

‘The receiver room isn’t devoid of talent, but this reminds me of 2020 when the Bills had talent in John Brown and Cole Beasley, but added star power when they traded for Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings. This is why Beane has to figure out a way to move up come Thursday night.’

Analysis: Pegula exploring sale of minority stake in Bills should be viewed 'as a positive'

‘”There may be some reason that they want to do this for tax purposes right now while the tax rates are as low as they are for this year and next year, maybe taking some money off the table and defraying the ownership cost,” said Jill Schlesinger of ‘Jill on Money’ during a recent appearance on WBEN. “And doing so when the capital gains rate is as low as it is currently, that may be a great incentive.”‘

New Highmark Stadium Community Benefits Oversight Committee gathers for second public meeting

‘”This is very important to our community, to the life of our community,” said Rev. Mark Blue, who was elected chair of the committee on Monday. “We will ask those questions, we will dig into the information, we will make sure that all in that agreement is being done. That’s our job.”‘

How likely are the Buffalo Bills to trade up in the NFL Draft?

‘News 4’s Heather Prusak predicted favorable odds for the Bills to trade up: She gave it a 75% chance that the Bills trade up, maybe to 15th or 16th overall, looking to nab LSU receiver Brian Thomas Jr.’

WIVB-TV | Apr 23, 2024

Local group makes sure minority-owned businesses are included in the Bills stadium construction

‘“Building generational wealth, giving opportunity to our communities is what we need to have and I believe this is a great opportunity to make sure that the footprint has been started,” said Rev. Mark Blue, who was recently named the chair of the CBOC.’

WIVB-TV | Apr 23, 2024

Committee tasked with overseeing stadium hiring briefed on progress, but notes there is still work to do

‘The CBOC is responsible for making sure that the Bills and their construction partners Gilbane-Turner follow what’s in the CBA. Committee members noted the progress that Semaia presented but also noted that more work needs to be done and time is running out with only one bid package remaining.’
