Two Bills Drive

‘Running backs have returned to the land of one-year contracts, pro football’s version of disposable labor. Use ’em up, wear ’em out and let ’em walk.’

‘It’s easy to imagine either McGovern or Edwards, or both, staying with the Bills for 2026 and beyond. But it’s not a given, and it wouldn’t hurt to have another young prospect with future starter potential. Look for the Bills to draft a guard/center prospect on Day 3.’

‘As for the trade-up option, sign me up. No. 1, not all seven players that the Bills are in line to draft on Day 3 are going to make the team. No. 2, packaging some fourth- or fifth-round picks to land a third-rounder could potentially net the Bills a player who can contribute, if not start, right away. No. 3, if Beane considered my feelings at all, making seven picks on the Saturday of the draft would be cruel and unusual punishment.’
