Buffalo Bills pick Jordan Hancock in 2025 NFL draft: Scouting the versatile defensive back

‘Hancock will come in and compete to provide depth behind Taron Johnson where right now, the main backup is utility player Cam Lewis. Hancock actually profiles similarly to Lewis in that he can play safety if needed.’

Rochester Democrat and Chronicle | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills pick Jackson Hawes in 2025 NFL draft: Scouting the TE

‘With Quintin Morris out testing free agency and apparently not coming back to Buffalo, the third-string TE right now is Zach Davidson behind Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox. Davidson is not a good blocker which the Bills covet in their in-line tight ends, but Hawes certainly was in college. That will be his path to the roster.’

Buffalo Bills pick Dorian Strong in 2025 NFL draft: Scouting the CB

‘The strategy at cornerback is clearly to bring in as many candidates as possible and may the best man win. Now, Strong won’t have much of a chance staring up at first-round pick Max Hairston and veteran free agents Tre’Davious White and Dane Jackson, but his goal should be to at least get on the practice squad and spend the season there, then compete for a roster spot in 2026 when White and Jackson will probably be gone.’

Buffalo Bills pick Chase Lundt in 2025 NFL draft: Scouting the offensive tackle

‘Lundt will compete for a backup role at tackle with holdovers Ryan Van Demark, Tylan Grable and Richard Gouraige. It will be a tough haul for him to beat out Van Demark or Grable, but he could earn a place on the practice squad where he could develop.’

Rochester Democrat and Chronicle | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills pick Kaden Prather in 2025 NFL draft: Scouting the WR

‘Prather will have a shot to find a place on the practice squad and who knows where it goes from there. If he can play on special teams, that would help his cause, but it’s rare when a seventh-round pick makes much of a dent.’

Rochester Democrat and Chronicle | Apr 27, 2025

Perfect pick in first round set the tone for Bills 2025 draft class built for a purpose

‘The only corners who went in the first round besides Hairston were two-way star Travis Hunter at No. 2 to the Jaguars, and Jahdae Barron to the Broncos at No. 20. Will Johnson was expected to be gone, but a knee condition dropped him all the way to the middle of the second round, and Trey Amos – a popular mock pick to the Bills – lasted until the end of the second round.’

Rochester Democrat and Chronicle | Apr 27, 2025

Bills trade up in 4th round of 2025 NFL Draft for massive defensive tackle

‘The Bills traded pick No. 132 (fourth round) and pick No. 169 (fifth round) to the Chicago Bears for pick No. 109. Buffalo selected Kentucky defensive tackle Deone Walker.’

Syracuse Post Standard | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills add massive defensive tackle who played through serious injury (5 things to know)

‘One year after a breakout season (7.5 sacks, 13 TFLs), Walker’s play fell off in 2024. Walker was dealing with a back injury, but he had no idea just how severe it was. At the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, Walker learned that he had a stress fracture in his back.’

Syracuse Post Standard | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears played hot potato with pick 109 in 2025 NFL Draft

‘Last season, Chicago sent the pick to Buffalo to select defensive lineman Austin Booker in the fifth-round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Ironically enough, the 5th round pick that Buffalo sent to Chicago in the deal was acquired in a trade with the Bears for offensive lineman Ryan Bates.’

Syracuse Post Standard | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills add Swiss Army knife, punisher and pre-draft visitor within eight picks on Day 3

‘Buffalo used those picks to select Ohio State cornerback Jordan Hancock (pick 170), Georgia Tech tight end Jackson Hawes (pick 173) and Virginia Tech cornerback Dorian Strong (pick 178).’

Syracuse Post Standard | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills add intriguing offensive lineman in the sixth round of 2025 NFL Draft

‘The Athletic’s Dane Brugler had a fourth-round grade on Lundt and had him as the 10th-best tackle in the draft. Lundt didn’t allow a single sack in his final season.’

Syracuse Post Standard | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills sixth-round OL dealt with prank callers on Day 3 of NFL Draft

‘Before getting selected by the Bills with the No. 206 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Lundt thought he was being picked to go elsewhere earlier in the day. In his introductory Zoom meeting with Bills media members, Lundt said it had been a long day. He elaborated and said that he had 4 to 5 prank calls throughout the day by people pretending to be interested teams.’

Syracuse Post Standard | Apr 27, 2025

Buffalo Bills conclude 2025 NFL Draft selecting WR with 4.4 speed

‘Prather has good size (6′5″) and speed (4.46). NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein projected Prather as a priority free agent in the draft, but the receiver was able to hear his name called on draft night. Here’s what Zierlein had to say about the prospect.’

Analyst pans Bills day-two pick: Not very good management of the draft board (What they’re saying)

‘Sanders is a reach for me. I had to scan way down my board to No. 126 overall to find his name. I had six defensive tackles ranked above him still available. And to make matters worse, Buffalo traded up to get him. It sent two second-roudners and a fourth-rounder to Chicago for this pick, a third-rounder and a seventh-rounder. It’s just not very good management of the draft board. And while Sanders has good agility and can penetrate as an interior pass rusher, he lacks the girth to consistently anchor against double-teams. He has talent, but Buffalo is going to have to coach him up for him to reach his ceiling.’

Syracuse Post Standard | Apr 27, 2025

Bills trade up again, select Kentucky DT Deone Walker with No. 109 in fourth round

‘The Bills were in dire need of help at the defensive tackle position entering the draft and have now come away with two players to bolster their efforts up front — Walker and second-round selection T.J. Sanders. Walker is expected to fit in as a 1-technique behind incumbent starter DaQuan Jones. Buffalo likes to rotate its defensive tackles, so expect Walker to receive ample playing time in his rookie season.’
