He has a stable front office and coaching staff, led by Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott. The team’s business operation appears sound.’

‘Carter was a healthy scratch after his injury, but he is primed for a comeback. He has the characteristics off the fi eld that the Bills value – he was the fi rst-ever three-time captain at Duke – and it’s time to showcase his tenacity on the defensive line. If Carter can make a move at defensive tackle, he gives the Bills a long-term solution at the position.’

‘“You sit down and have those self-talks – (getting cut by Dallas) was the worst thing that could happen at the time, but I got through it, and now you go play football,” White said. “Facing that adversity early was the best thing that could happen.
