Two Bills Drive

‘Hamlin had eight tackles in the game and lept off the TV screen during the broadcast. He was always around the ball. When Hyde went down in Week 2, questions immediately began to fly about the Bills’ ability to replace the All Pro. Hamlin has had the answers in his first three starts.’

‘“They did all right,” Diggs said with a straight face.’

‘“For a minute I was (worried I wouldn’t catch it),” Davis said after the game. “I was fighting for it, and I couldn’t really feel it out. And then once I got a good grip on it, I just ripped it out and was able to hold onto it.”’

‘As the game went on, Wallace rose to the occasion. On an Allen deep ball to Diggs, Wallace stayed with Diggs every step of the way, and broke up the pass. Later in the game, Wallace made a great play on a 50/50 ball to the near pylon against Davis, and came up with the interception. He then celebrated by looking at the fans and putting his thumbs down.’

‘Kaiir Elam was picked on throughout the game. He gave up multiple receptions in the win, but added his first NFL interception in the victory. Dane Jackson had six tackles and a pass defensed in the win at the other starting cornerback spot.’
