No mercy, no quarter as King Lionidas once said. Give them nothing! Take from them everything! Dude, c’mon! Settle! I had to quit the roids once I turned 60, or 70. One of those. 1 Quote

Yeah, unless it’s the QB the truth is that all NFL players are talented and the worst thing a team could do is “relax” because a couple of starters are out for the other team. Do Gonzalez and Barmore being out make things more difficult for the Pats***? Of course. But the Bills should expect their backups to play just as well. How this game flows is really all about the first quarter. If the Bills win the toss I’d like to see Brady take the ball again and try to get out in front. 1 Quote

Their Offense is terrible. 45 minutes ago, Andrew Son said: How often does that happen? It's a long season, and it's extremely rare that you have wire to wire dominance. What I'm most interested in is staying healthy, and rounding into form at the right time at the end of the year. Of course it doesn't happen every game. They should beat up clearly inferior teams. 45 minutes ago, Bad Things said: It’s an exaggerated statistic, as one of those loses for each of those teams, came at the hands of the Bills and not some other team. So the Chargers are actually otherwise a good team? 27 minutes ago, eball said: Bills are 3-0 ATS. Spreads are single digit spots. Kind of the opposite of what I was hoping for against another struggling team. If they cover the -7.5 with a 4th Q comeback against NE, that's not it. Last season many here bemoaned the times that the Bills were "playing down to their competition". 11 minutes ago, MasterStrategist said: And when Houston gets Nico back, that is a very tough team to beat again. Weve played 2 good teams and 1 team that is in a tailspin. 13 pt differential means nothing, we turned the ball over 5x in one of those games. Take care of the ball, this should be a 10+ point win. They are a better team with Collins, yes. But Stroud is playing poor football---not just because Nico's out. 1 Quote

I still remember when we played the Bengals in the 2022 Divisional rd. and the DL was supposed to feast because their entire starting OL was out. Instead our DL got bullied the whole game and recorded zero sacks. Or last year when we lost to the Texans and Davis Mills at QB. It’s a test of Brady and his leadership. Is it a two-three game slide or do they rise to the occasion is a way we haven’t in a long time Quote

Missing a top 5 CB who could single handedly shut down our #1 WR is a huge deal. You cannot expect his replacement to be as effective. Barmore is the second best DT they have. Dequan Jones doesn’t hold a candle to Barmore. Both times the Bills started with the ball they fumbled on the first drive. Against the Lions, Josh got stripped and we recovered. Against the Chargers James fumbled and we lost it. I the Lions game, Brady completely mishandled the end of half that resulted in a 10 point swing. In the Chargers game the end of half management was better. I’m not so sure deferring isn’t the correct option yet. I understand the desire to take the ball and put pressure on the opposing team but we’ve fumbled 2/2 times. 2 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted October 3 Posted October 3 (edited) Remember when 3/5 of the bengals offensive linemen were out vs us in the playoffs? How did that work out? Edited October 3 by Bills!Win! 2 Quote
SF Bills Fan Posted October 3 Posted October 3 This is looking so favorable for us that I fear it is going to end up being one of those bizarre 17-13 head scratching losses. 1 1 Quote

Tulsabillsfanz Posted October 3 Posted October 3 We just had a very similar situation last week. Chargers had multiple injuries. Their team had underperformed. Bills fans discuss just how bad we are going to beat them. Then, the Chargers give us problems from the first quarter on. We keep turning the ball over. We have to come from 10 points down, and we’re just happy to get the W. I sure hope the Bills players & coaches have better memories than us fans! Quote

The point is, a great team getting better than a year ago to go farther than they did should easily handle bad teams--they aren't bad because of a sampling error. Those are bad teams the Bills struggled to beat. Nobody thinks the Texans are a bad team 1 Quote

Yeah that Cinn playoff game is often cited as a cautionary tale of 'our DL got dominated even though they were missing all their OL', but the issue with that game was the Bills adamantly (stupidly) did not adjust at all for the elements and the DL was just slipping and sliding with vanilla rush which completed negated any advantage we had with Cinn OL reserves. Cinn on the other hand adjusted their gameplan to the elements, esp their rush by bringing people on blitzes and simulated pressure from everywhere from standing positions and running starts. The issue with that Cinn game was coaching (even more inexcusable since we are a 'cold weather team' and totally misplayed the elements to actually work against us and for them) Edited October 3 by stevewin 2 Quote
