I was gonna give it to the end of the season, but then someone will beat me to making the thread and steal all of my sweet, valuable message board glory.

I've been waiting for the right moment to bump the Rousseau is invisible thread.

He plays consistently like this he could be DPOY ... the key is consistency... Sack a game pace gets him to 20... thats rarified air.  Heck I would take a realistic 15 as  I feel like they are gonna shift protection.. So a Groot 15 and a Chubb 10 would be huge...

It's hard to argue that Groot isn't the AFC DPOM and a frontrunner for DPOY. Now, this is just 3 out of 17 games, but even with moderate regression, Groot is ascending into a Pro Bowl-caliber, borderline All-Pro player. I thought the defense had a chance to really kick into gear with Walker taking a step up into an All-Pro. Walker has been very good, but it's Groot who's been that dude.

I was worried about asking Groot to do things we had never seen him do before. Within roughly one quarter I was thinking this might be the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Keep it up, sir!

Oh it was totally fair to not get recognized.

But imagine wasting talent for 5 years having your 1st rd pass rusher doing nothing more than setting an edge...

Not so faster Mister !

Teams are now likely hyper aware of him and will adjust strongly , if wise.
The stats gotta come back around for Chubb , that guy we have in the middle destroying things , and maybe 55 if schemed.

If that happens ? Leonhard has won . Make them adjust to you

Go Bills and Groot!

Good job, Groot.

He's finally getting to show off that elite GPS for the QB that made him so good in his one year at the U.

Leonhard has done a good job putting HIM specifically in the position to sack the QB.......because unlike the others on that line he rarely misses the target.

Was never going to be a bendy or quick edge guy and he's still not anything close to that but with a strategic pass rush you can bypass that shortcoming and get to this long arms and footlong hands that make him such a sure tackler.   Being wider and upright at the snap helps him use that big first stride sometimes as well, which is another unusual trait.

If Groot and Walker are both playing at a Pro-Bowl/All-Pro level that’s going to open up a lot for Oliver, Chubb and the rest of the defensive line to work with. One guy playing at that level has been what the Dline was missing since Von’s 11 games in 2022 but if this team can sustain two? That’s something the team hasn’t seen since 2014 when the Bills had one of if not the best defensive lines in the league

Imagine if we had this version of Groot the last 3 playoff seasons when we could've used one or two crucial stops to take a little pressure off Josh.

I'm also having a hard time thinking that McD Groot was "the Best Version of Himself". Process my ass.

yep. Walker still has to be doubled  ( That's my Boy right there )

Bills Defense are quickly becoming formidable up front.  it's a delight to behold finally
