First DPoM since 2017... weird...

Congrats Groot!!

It’s hard to get national recognition for setting the edge.

Probably not fair but that’s the way of it lol.

DC Jim Leonhard should get some props for this as well

Imagine if we had this version of Groot the last 3 playoff seasons when we could've used one or two crucial stops to take a little pressure off Josh.

Oh it was totally fair to not get recognized.

But imagine wasting talent for 5 years having your 1st rd pass rusher doing nothing more than setting an edge...

We're only a couple of weeks of consistent performance away from having to have a big talk about the view of Beane's drafting and if/how it is changing as we see his previously lackluster picks stepping up and performing at All Pro levels.

Whole new take for the "Beane should have been fired too", "The roster is garbage" crowd.

Well deserved honor.

If you go back the the end of last year, Groot has been on a heater for about 6-7 games. He's definitely in the running for an All Pro team, especially with a lot of the pass rushers around the league hurt or less effective.

Well deserved, congrats Groot! I’m definitely getting a Bryce Paup vibe when I watch him. I know, different players, different times, but the excitement when he’s terrorizing qbs is similar. Love the way this D-line is playing. Go BILLS!!!

We do not have to imagine it, we experienced it.

We are seeing now what so many you spent time with him on the field have been saying.  For example, Von Miller repeatedly talked about how Groot was elite and how he "knows what elite looks like" and stuff.

There is no greater evidence that the defense under McD was limiting the ceiling of some of these guys up front in how we got after the QB.  Its something a lot of us were saying a while, and I think its pretty clear it was the main issue up front.

I am glad to see the success translating on the field now, between him and Walker to go with Ed already, we have a nasty DL in the making right now and I think both Walker and Groot could become All-Pros this season if they keep this up.

I'd give it more than a couple of weeks, probably the end of the season, but was thinking the same yesterday.  Read an article about how his three big FA signings have looked real good too; Chubb, CJGJ, &  Alford.  Read yesterday a summary of Chubbs stats and looked pretty good overall, he's just not getting the sacks, and we all know chicks dig sacks, oh wait, that was the long ball!  The sacks could come if more attention given to Groot.

I was gonna give it to the end of the season, but then someone will beat me to making the thread and steal all of my sweet, valuable message board glory.
