Success Posted September 30 Posted September 30 it's weird to say this - but I really like our current group. And the offense is not any kind of problem. We score better than anyone. Secondary is where we likely need an add. 1 Quote

One he blatantly made a rookie read and didn't see the safety and the other his worst style of throw which is a deep arc where he is not accurate and always makes bad decisions, he threw into triple coverage while he had others open for easy gains. If you believe Joe Brady, the second play Allen only threw because he saw the defender jump the snap and thought he would get the Offside flag (and we should have gotten it). 1 Quote

So the Bills will have the luxury of seeing how things play out after nine games. I think this team will be in the market for a starting-caliber piece, but it will probably be six more games before they know exactly what they need. Right now corner and WR seem to be the two logical front runners but we shall see. 1 Quote
Buffalo03 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 People on this site are weird. "Hey, let's see if we can get BTJ for a 4th or 5th round pick and see what happens" "No, thanks. Don't wanna give up assets for someone when we can draft someone next year" Draft someone like who? Another 4th or 5th rounder that will probably be a backup? If you can get BTJ who could just need a better QB and change of scenery and you can get him for a 4th, I fail to see what the problem is. Either you give up a 4th and you hit gold or you lose a backup that will probably not contribute much anyway. Some of you all are strange lol. I remember when there were rumors about us being in on McCaffery when he was leaving Carolina. All the "no, thanks" people were plentiful. I don't get it. We have to be the only franchise in the league where we could trade for prime Jerry Rice and people here would be like "eh...don't need him" lol. Weird 1 2 1 1 Quote
SC STATE NUPE Posted September 30 Posted September 30 22 minutes ago, Alphadawg7 said: If we trade it needs to be for secondary help at this point. Offense just scored 24 points despite turning the ball over 5 times. Thats 5 drives gone and we still scored 24 and won. And the INT's were all on Josh too, he had open guys and he put the ball in harms way both times. One he blatantly made a rookie read and didn't see the safety and the other his worst style of throw which is a deep arc where he is not accurate and always makes bad decisions, he threw into triple coverage while he had others open for easy gains. Allen tends to try and get it all back on one play when the wheels fall off, and that is exactly what he did on the INT to DJ Moore. And we still scored 24. Offense is no where near our problem. I am not against BTJ or MHJ, but needs wise, we need help at corner where are suddenly very thin. By the way - everyone clamoring for BTJ or MHJ are still doing so off draft hype becasue if you watch the tape on them, its not good. Yes a change of scenery could help, but tape doesn't lie, there is a reason less hearalded and journeyman are out snapping and out playing them on their respective teams. Agree 1000%!!! All of the turnovers were correctable offenses! Heck, they might’ve scored 50 if they turned over the ball only once. Our biggest needs are the secondary and a starting level LB!!! I don’t trust our LBs at all! They can’t rush the QB at all. But idk who they can get at LB that’s impactful because that position is a high injury risk position. So you have to be smart on who and what you give up for one… 1 Quote

That’s certainly true long-term. Maybe Skyler Bell ends up being that guy. Palmer will be gone after this year. Keon may have 1 more year. Neither is starting caliber. If you could get one of those 2 inexpensively, it’s a good gamble. Worst case scenario is where you are minus the pick. Would like to see a move on Harrison Quote

Bad Things Posted September 30 Posted September 30 1 hour ago, Sojourner said: Heck, it’s totally impossible but if we are trading draft picks just go ahead and trade the future for Jeremiah Smith and allow Josh to have him for the remainder of his career. I don't follow college football so don't know a thing about him, but Jeremiah Smith sounds like a great name for someone on the Buffalo Bills. 2 Quote

Brandon Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I don't know that they have a real need at the position at the moment, but if the price were a day three pick, I might consider it. Quote
Big Turk Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) How does that benefit Jacksonville by trading a good player even as a WR4? You can't just randomly say you want to trade for a player when the other team has no reason to do it and would likely take a step backwards by doing so. Typically playoff contenders do not trade away good players in season. Why? Because injuries happen and they would much rather have a player like BTJ step into that role than some random UDFA. Maybe you want Tampa Bay for that case study. This isn't Madden, part 5,652. Edited September 30 by Big Turk 1 Quote

atlbillsfan1975 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Let’s see how the next few games go regrading production and injury. Right now Moore is everything we hoped for and feels like the difference maker this offense has been lacking since Diggs left. Quote

Iiiiiiiiive Got a Feeeelin Posted September 30 Posted September 30 BTJ drops a LOT of passes. he had a great rookie year because Jags were so injured that Mac Jones was their QB most of the season and he was about the only decent WR so they just threw to him over and over again. Quote
