BillsPride12 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 For the most part I have done a pretty good job at hanging on to some stuff of mine that has meaning to me but let's face it we all tend to throw stuff away that later on we regret I had gameday programs from the Sabres games I went to at the Aud as a kid. I couldn't remember if I kept them or got rid of them. I still have a couple boxes of stuff from my childhood in my parents basement and I went there over the weekend and I was looking through them to see if they were still in there. But I must have thrown them out when I was getting rid of stuff. I was really disappointed. Not even so much for the Nostalgia or the souvenir but because I was so young back then I don't remember what years they were and what teams we played against. I know it was in either 1st or 2nd grade for me but truly have no memory of who there were against and now that I know those gameday programs are gone I will never figure it out. I have vivid memories of going to my first Bills game but that was a few years after those early Sabres games at the Aud. Do you guys have anything you got rid of over the years that you wish you still had right now for whatever reason? 1 Quote
Augie Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I wish I still had my old album collection. I failed to store them properly at one point and they warped. If I had those old albums I’d go get a turntable to be able to use them. Without the collection, it’s not worth the bother. Oops. 2 Quote
US Egg Posted September 28 Posted September 28 In 1966 the ‘Batman’ tv show premiered and I was obsessed. AlI I wanted for my 7th birthday and Xmas that year was Batman stuff. There was loads of Batman merchandise and I had lots of it. Had other things certainly worth more that also ended up in a scrap heap, but if I could get one collection back, it be my Batman stuff. I was Batman back then and have the pics to prove it. 😈 2 Quote
boater Posted September 28 Posted September 28 My stainless steel Beretta 9 MM with a very low serial number... what was I thinking when I got rid of that? Quote

Pete Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I’m class of 87. Ive loved Punk and Metal since middle school. So I saw most of big Thrash Metal bands and many Punk shows 1983-1990- prime years. I started collecting vinyl then. I’d learn new Metal and Punk bands on college radio. I subscribed to zines and I learned about these Japanese, and German, and Norwegian Black Metal Bands. Bathory. Witchfinder General. Sodom.Mercyful Fate. Saint Vitus. I amassed a nice vinyl collection. Several hundred, and a bunch of first pressings Punk and Metal. Around 1994 I was moving into a place with my girlfriend. She loved most of my vinyl, but the Black Metal stuff freaked her out. I only knew one other kid in my town that listened to Black Metal and loved vinyl like me. He was a good kid, but kind of an outcast- not rich or pretty enough. He worked at gas station. One day, I walked into the station with my gf and gave him a crate of Black Metal and Punk albums, many are super rare today. He teared up he was so happy. Now I have ginormous record collection, but I’m still trying to find many of those albums. I’m still trying to remember everything that was in that crate. 3 Quote

Bad Things Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) When the wifey and I moved the family to New Zealand many years ago, we sold everything we owned, apart from what was in the suitcases we were carrying. (House, cars and everything in that house.) So yes, I miss some of that old stuff, but there are no regrets. Edited September 29 by Bad Things Quote

I can even remember it in my head. But I've search all over my house for it. Next will be my parents house, they have so many photo albums, we call it the photo depository. 1 Quote

Original Starter Bills gear is super sharp and much sought after. I have a few Starter Bills hats, a sweet Bills hoodie, and Bills and Sabres Starter sweatshirts. Their gear is high quality. I lost my Bills Starter jacket too 1 Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted September 29 Posted September 29 My first real hi fi system I bought in Hong Kong in the 70’s … Marantz receiver, Dual 1228 turntable, Sony cassette deck and AR-7 speakers. I still have the marantz in my collection but everything else was lost over the years 1 Quote
Draconator Posted September 30 Posted September 30 My Yamaha BB3000S bass. Best bass I ever owned. Played like a dream. I traded it straight up for a Steinberger with the serial number in the 800s. I sold the Steinberger 3 months after I got it. Couldn't play funk on it at all. 1 Quote

I had a 1950’s fender P bass I sold (roughly 20yrs ago). That one still bugs me to this day. I very much regret it. Edited September 30 by BillsFan4 Quote

I understand - we had to go from a large house about 3100sq ft w 2 car garage to a 1400 sq ft condo with no storage. Not as severe as what you did. However the clean out and purge was cathartic. In general as Americans we have way too much stuff. 3 Quote
Tombstone Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I bought a Yamaha piccolo snare drum in 1991 or so. (model SD-493) Brass shell. it was beautiful. About 2018 or so I wasnt using it so I sold it. About a year later they stopped making them. Now on ebay and other sites they're anywhere from $1000-$1800 depending on condition. 1 Quote
