Points off turnover differential has always been the more determinative stat than turnover differential, and the Bills scored 14 points off turnovers to the Chargers’ 10. The Chargers stupidly going for it on 4th and 10 with plenty of time left and failing is a turnover on downs (indeed, it put the Bills in Chargers’ territory), and that’s a TO in my book. So despite losing the TO battle 5-1 on the stat sheet (it was really 5-2), the Bills still won the more important category.

Harbaugh makes absolutely no sense.  Settling for fgs on 4th and short/medium then goes for that 4th and 10 on his own end

It was like he was trying to answer the 4th and long the Bills did on the previous drive.

I was shocked they went for that 4th and 10. I get the whole idea of not giving it back to Josh Allen, but the chargers defence was playing lights out

I thought the craziest thing was the last time the Bills beat a team with 5 turnovers at home or something was against the Chargers HC back when he was a QB.

It's like a weird deja vu for the universe.

The best part though was when they brought it up and then showed Harbaugh's face like the realization was donning on him at the same time.

Here's another crazy stat

Thought I saw another one, since 2000 teams with 5 turnovers and 10 plus penalties are 1-56-1.

Bad teams make stupid mistakes.

another crazy stat mentioned in the broadcast.

There has been only one other instance where the Bills have overcome a 5-turnover game and won. It was in 1997 and it was against the Indianapolis Colts.  The Quarterback for those Colts was Jim Harbaugh!  Go Figure.

And his clock management at the end. Yes, I know it is was a low win probability whatever he did but you need two scores, you either have to kick the FG as soon as you get into FG range - keeping your final time out and the two minute warning or once you go for the touchdown you have to play 4 down football because if you get it back at that point time is against you and getting into FG range is about as good as you will do. Instead he let time run and then kicked on 4th down. Dense.

How did the bills score 14 points off one turnover?   Are we counting turnover on downs?

Bills went for it on 4th and 7.  Given the down and distance I thought it it made sense.  Although not a likely conversion.

Many dont remember this.  But back when Jim Harbaugh was the QB for the Colts.  He was there just before they drafted Peyton.  Well reason they finished so crappy to get Peyton, was because Kelly had pretty much said Jim H was made of glass....Jim H took offense to it and punched Kelly, breaking his hand and missing the season.  Colts sucked that year and were able to select Manning lol.

Comparing this to the Denver game, even with the turnovers, if they had this defense back then, they win. This defense looks like it could be special and much better than lasts. That's all you really need with this offense

Yes, if you read my post, I am counting a turnover on downs, especially when it’s 4th and long and failure puts the Bills in plus territory.
