BillsShredder83 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Look at this unreal athleticism. Ive heard scouts say ankle flexibility doesnt lie lol and this is one of the crazier videos of seen like this! Somebody else in this mentions its like motorcycle racing where they lower the bike to corner harder and holy smokes is that spot on 1 Quote

He does try to cover it up, when sensing contact. Nothing you said and I said contradict each other. I do not think he should be cutting with two hands on the ball in space. When he is nearing contact and putting his head down for the last couple yards is kind of what matters. He absolutely did that after the fumble yesterday and he still got 150 yards Edited September 28 by Matt_In_NH 1 Quote

But it was the Kincaid fumble that caused me to yell at the TV. Those few extra yards were so unnecessary. I agree. Kept yelling at the tv for Kincaid to just frigging go down. zow2 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I thought I heard something yesterday about Cook putting the ball on the ground more than any other RB in the NFL over the last X number of games? What's going on James. Quote
Rousseauisnoschmo Posted September 28 Posted September 28 He's a great player who really helped turn that game around late in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Dude looks like he's stoned 24/7 but he produces. You aren't as good as he is if you don't put in the work. The fumbling was a problem early in his career if I'm remembering that correctly and he seemed to fix it but now it's back. Got to get that corrected. Quote

SCBills Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I wanted him benched for a few drives after that fumble because it just happens too much, but he was, by far, the best player on Offense.. some of his runs when we finally wore down the Chargers Run Defense were filthy. LOVED the emotion he showed late in the game when the Defense got another big stop. Quote
Starr Almighty Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Cook has fumbled in the last 4 games we have played and it may go further than that but those are the ones I remember right now. Quote

Cool video about ball security that goes a little deeper than the typical fan hears about. I remember seeing a ton of day light around that ball on all those fumbles yesterday. https://youtu.be/ynZSt0mGXNc?si=k00jqWCYO34WHiGg 2 Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Love Jimmy. You take the good with the bad. Great back, subpar ball security. 1 Quote

He fumbled in the Denver playoff game, which was still a turning point of the game for me. But despite his goofy, indifferent appearance, he does care. You see he cheered the defense making a stop. And then he just took over late 4th quarter, pretty much the main force to get the Bills the lead and expand the lead, as well as a minor icing of the game. He's 27. I'm not sure he's going to change. We can't live with him on those mistakes, but we also can't live without him to drive the offense, sort of what we had with Allen before he matured. BTW, James, please have both hands on the ball the last few carries you had - I just don't like to hold on my breath too much in those situations. Not sure I ever hated him... fumbles happen like INTs happen... he needs to take care of the ball... But to your point I am seeing much more emotion and leadership from him overtly... not saying he wasnt behind the scenes... but on the field he does seem like he is taking a bit bigger role on the leadership front. BuffaloRebound Posted September 28 Posted September 28 We aren’t getting to the promised land with him and josh putting the ball on the ground as much as they do. 1 1 Quote
Madbillsfan Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) I like him. That guy on the radio hates him and thinks any rb can be plugged in and get equal production. Edited September 28 by Madbillsfan Quote
dollars 2 donuts Posted September 28 Posted September 28 "Man, I just wish we could get the 2025 production out of Cook right now." *checks stats...NFL's 3rd leading rusher, 14 yards behind the leader Walker on 7 less carries* "...um...carry on." Quote
Dr.Sack Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Two ideas: give him the ball more. Blockers follow him. Quote

Keep criticizing the arguably best back in football and pointing to a fumble or two he’s had in the past, blaming him for the loss to Denver, when there were 4 other TOs. Plus the call on Cook’s catch should’ve gone the other way.The guy only lead the league in rushing and has 300 yds in last 2 games.Perhaps he should listen to you and change the way he carries the ball. On behalf of all the fans around the world, we’re lucky you’re on our side. Quote
billieve420 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Cook and Allen both need to work on securing the ball better. They both fumble way too much for me and you have to hope it doesn’t cost us in a critical moment. Hopefully, something that is being coached on during practice regularly in terms of ball security. 1 Quote
