It seems minor but Hamlin has gotten enough run as the dime safety that we could use an upgrade there. I haven't seen anybody make the observation, but I think Hancock may have taken away a bunch of Hamlin's snaps last week. He was actually on the field for 13 defensive plays, Alford played all the nickel I think, Igbinosun didn't lose any time, but Hamlin went from playing 1/3 of Week1 to 1/4 of Week2. I can't confirm how they were using Hancock because I was in the middle of my wife's bday party with kids/spouses/dogs/cats/chaos, but the answer to that issue might already be on our roster. I'm curious to see if that 10 day window encourages a step forward in a transition that might be inevitable. 5 Quote
Big Turk Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) If he had Josh Allen instead of Jacoby Brissett he would have 1K yards or more every year. Brissett is what he is...not a very good QB who locks onto one guy and feeds him the ball. Edited September 23 by Big Turk 1 2 Quote

The Bills aren't running a rehab unit for failed first round draft picks. The same goes for BJT who hasn't showed much either. 1 hour ago, NORWOODS FOOT said: It’s not dissimilar to anyone else who hates their job. A small percentage of people will continue to put in max effort. Most people will slack. But some of the slackers really perk up in a better environment. If he’s like that, then yes, I may want a player like him. He did very well against great competition (including Georgia) and under tons of pressure at Ohio State. Cry me a river. If he "hates his job" and slacks off because of it, then he's nothing but a spoiled brat. Maybe he's just lazy and entitled. Again, the Bills aren't running a rehab unit for failed first round WRs who are unwilling to work at their craft. Arizona was a crappy team in 2025, but it wasn't because of Brissett who threw for 23 TDs and 8 INTs for 3300+ yards in 2025. Right now, Harrison is just taking up a roster spot and cap space that both the Cards and the Bills could use on somebody who could help the team. In the Bills case, that "somebody" would be a defensive player, especially a DB. 1 1 1 Quote

Mark Vader Posted September 23 Posted September 23 This is baffling. I've seen my share of Arizona games, and to see how Harrison has played so far this season is weird. He's played a helluva lot better than this. I don't know if it's attitude. He's not the fastest receiver in the NFL, but he looked far more reliable his first couple of seasons than he does now. I jokingly said that after he was drafted by the Cardinals, that the Bills could wait until his rookie deal was up that we could sign him then. The Cardinals are a goofy organization. Quote
GunnerBill Posted September 23 Posted September 23 He is half assing it out there right now. It is over for him and Arizona. I'm not saying it is guaranteed to work somewhere else. But I guarantee it won't work in Arizona. 2 7 Quote
BuffaloTX Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I think he's trying to force a trade with his play this season. I don't blame him. Quote
Coach Tuesday Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Our WR coach coached him in AZ. He would know whether there’s any value there. 5 1 Quote

When everyone else is giving it their all and you arent, then you are a cancer. Maybe not in the sense of you just start nonsense drama with the team or vocally cause issues but when you have a player not giving 100% you can get people or yourself hurt and decrease chances of winning, performance bonuses, etc. That's a cancer full stop. 1 Quote

And correct me if I'm wrong was there when they drafted him, right? So will have a view of what they liked about him at draft time and what has or hasn't worked in that transition to the NFL. 'Cos that is really the rub for me. It has not met expectations so far for MHJ as a pro. Why? If it is just attitude and training habits that is one thing. Does he take coaching? Are there technical flaws that were hidden to some extent at Ohio State? Has his confidence gone? Is he one of those "dominated every level" guys who has never failed before and has failing for the first time had a mental impact? Is it a combination of all of the above? We all know it has failed at Arizona. The question in terms of his value moving forward is "why?" 6 Quote

We all know it has failed at Arizona. The question in terms of his value moving forward is "why?" similar to the trade for dj moore, i think the bills have the best info of any team not named the cardinals on this guy. if they trade for him, i have to assume it is from the best possible position to do so. at the very least, on paper, if we got him it would make our skill position group the best it has ever been with allen on the team, and it's not close WR DJ Shakir Harrison Jr coleman palmer TE Kinky Knox Hawes that back up w the islander name RB cook davis TJ on 3rd and long in 11 personnel the 5th option is coleman, palmer, or harrison. 4th is the nfl rushing leader. 3 is shakir, yac monster. 2nd is dj moore, mr 1k yards a season, and 1st is the most statistically deadly TE in the nfl. if harrison can be as good as advertised, dj could be our 3rd option. that's going from our number 1 being shakir or a gimpy kinkaid (i.e. not having a number 1) to a number 1 being our 3rd option. if he falters then it's a waste of a pick and some cap, kinda like amari cooper, hines, or to a lesser extend rasul douglas. it's also another capable body in the case that dj, shakir, kinki, or palmer get injured (which has happened more than i'd care to admit). i'm very supportive of this move if they make it. 1 1 Quote

I am sure he would have a say in what the issue is with the guy. Everytime I read about him it gets mentioned that he is quiet and soft spoken. Maybe he lacks that extra internal drive that makes most of these guys so successful. Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted September 23 Posted September 23 This has long been a topic on this board. It’s a definite yes from me. The Bills could have the greatest offense of all-time. As an Ohio State fan, I’ve seen lots of Marvin Harrison Jr. He’s special. He’s also completely checked out at the moment. It’s painful to watch. I’m not sure if he ever becomes the top 5 WR that his talent is. I think that his floor on the Bills is about a 1k WR. His ceiling is the best WR in the NFL. The situation in Arizona is a disaster for all parties. It’s borderline impossible for a good team to acquire top WR talent (same for pass rush). They get drafted really early and never hit FA. If it ever turns on for MHJ, you’re looking at a superstar. You’ll have him for 2 years after this. You could extend him from there. You’d have Kincaid and MHJ for the rest of Josh’s career if you wanted. You don’t get a shot at stars very often drafting where the Bills do. This is (potentially) your chance. If you traded a 2nd and a player, you’d have that chance. Best case scenario is that he becomes the best WR in the league. Worst case scenario, in a Bills uniform, is an upgrade across from DJ Moore on a rookie deal. If it’s going to work for MHJ, it’s in a place like Buffalo. I do think he gets traded. I would think that the Bills would be in the mix. The same goes for the Chiefs, Pats, Eagles and maybe even Colts. Quote
