He just seems very slow to me. I remember watching the pre-draft stuff when he came out, and Chris Simms swore up and down that Malik Nabors and BTJ were far better talents than him. He was right.

I don’t know much about those other guys draft stock, but none of them have done anything this year. 0 TDs amongst the 3.

Nabors was amazing before he got hurt and was excellent this season before Jameis Winston came on the scene.

He gained something like 15lbs this offseason. He already had trouble separating at his previous mid speed, now he's slower. He doesn't even try to get open 90% of the time, and seems to drop the ball as often as he catches it. Worst effort level in the league this year.

Arizona has him running halfassed clear-out routes every play to open up McBride & Michael Wilson underneath, I think they realized that's all he's good for at this point.

Some guys are just vastly over hyped and never come close to living up to expectations. It was assumed he was going to be an All Pro caliber player the moment he stepped on an NFL field. Kyle Pitts falls in the same category. And at least as it looks right now, before even entering the NFL, Arch Manning

He genuinely seems like a guy that just physically dominated in college because he was much bigger and faster than everyone.  I’ve been seeing college highlights (or lowlights I guess lol) and his route running genuinely seems so sloppy even in college

lookin at his draft profile all the weaknesses are true and massively understated

? - Kyle Pitts is really good. Put him on a team with a real QB and he lights it up. I don’t think he’s a good comp because the athleticism is obvious. Harrison is Keon Coleman with regard to speed/quicks.

He’s not fast.

That effort on the block is completely baffling

How does Arizona even keep him on the field?

Arizona invested serious draft capital to acquire him and have him on a rookie deal. Unless they get some crazy offer (and who would give such an offer considering his struggles?), there is no good reason to trade him at this time.

Edit: Just watched the videos regarding effort - looks like he’s trying to get traded. I watched him extensively in college and this doesn’t look like the same player.

Other teams will look at this and think he’s a problem. Doing that to get traded is really counterproductive.

Kyle Pitts, like MHJ, was supposed to be a can't miss, immediate All Pro type of prospect the second he entered the NFL. A tight end picked at #4 and with the amount of acclaim he received should transcend your offense and dominate at a consistent level. Despite the fact he may be a solid contributor, that doesn't change the fact that the hype on him coming out of college was excessive

I’d be really excited if we could get him for a 3 in some sort of panic sell. He’s got all the tools, he’s had success, and I’m sorry but Marvin Harrison’s son can adjust to route running in the NFL even if it’s taking a minute and the Cardinals aren’t helping.

Well basically never have a chance to draft a legit 1st round talent and get those valuable rookie years unless a situation exactly like this happens.

Buy low. A hit on this would make us resilient against injury and help in cap next year (and we could probably work out another cheap year).

Keon was running full speed and not open and now he’s pulling it together. Marvin needs some Brady love and some Josh QB and he’ll be fine.

Yes, potentially. Never said it was a good strategy. That said, some teams (like the Chiefs) take a chance on guys.

I don’t think Harrison is playing 4D chess, I think he’s saying FU to the coaches. And that MAY get him traded.

I agree with this. He isn’t as mentally strong as his dad and would need to go to a healthy team to have a chance. I’d give a third for him.

He’s just checked out and clearly wants out of Arizona. He’s giving zero effort and he has never built a good rapport with Brissett since he took over. Would I take a chance? Absolutely I would. The thing is Arizona is going to want to recoup as high a draft pick they can and I don’t think Buffalo would be that team to drop a 2nd rounder or multiple mid rounders for him. Someone else will be more desperate

Do you want a player who does that? Regardless of situation, a player being paid a ton of money is obligated to TRY at the most basic of levels, regardless of the qb situation. If he can’t even muster the requisite enthusiasm to do even that, why would you ever want a player like him?

All these things can be true at the same time.

He is talented.

He seems disterested and his route running leaves something to be desired.

He was an overhyped prospect.

His team and QB situation are limiting him.

He would benefit from a trade for his own development.

As long as he is not a lockerroom cancer/diva, he is worth looking at because we have Allen, Cook, Moore, and other veterans.

It’s not dissimilar to anyone else who hates their job. A small percentage of people will continue to put in max effort. Most people will slack. But some of the slackers really perk up in a better environment. If he’s like that, then yes, I may want a player like him. He did very well against great competition (including Georgia) and under tons of pressure at Ohio State.

Never understood the hype with him. Went to see him play in person because I couldn’t believe how many people were saying he was a generational talent and I thought I was missing something on TV. Left even more convinced he wasn’t good. The messed up part was he got open a lot and put up good stats that game but it wasn’t going to translate. Half the time the corner just kinda stood there and let him run past.
