Stanley Lombardi Posted September 13 Posted September 13 When Cook fumbled, the camera angle caught the entire offensive line trailing the play. When the ball hit the turf there were instantly 5 Bills on the ball. It was a thing of beauty and it says something meaningful about this team. 6 4 1 1 Quote
T master Posted September 14 Posted September 14 And from what I saw they did much better with Dawkins & Brown being healthy to give Josh enough time rather than being harassed constantly so he could find his target & I hope will only get better from here !! 1 Quote
Billsfan1972 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 A few plays too almost cost the Bills. Allen had a TD pass earlier to Shakir, but poor blocking led to his arm being hit is one that stood out. This was on 3rd & 6 from the 14 that led to a FG putting them ahead 30-28 with 10:38 in the 4th quarter. Also happened on the next 3 & out, where it appeared Allen hurt his hand. 1 Quote
BBMB Poster Posted September 14 Posted September 14 You do have to give Houston some credit, their defense is stout and going to make some plays, but overall the Bills O line was very good yesterday. Being healthy made a huge difference. 1 Quote

The Texans have a REALLY GOOD set of pass rushers. That they will win a few battles is a given. Juxtapose Josh running around like a chicken with its head cut off to Josh calmly hanging back there and going through his reads multiple times ( with time and room to spare) and hitting Long passes. Before this game many, including myself, were concerned with Kromer being gone and the inordinate amount of jump sets the o line suddenly seemed to be doing. Turns out it was preseason being used correctly and not a major cause for alarm. The protection scheme was so good that the announcers were diagnosing it on the broadcast in slow motion. We Good? For now, We good! 1 Quote

Guessing some of that was having fresh tape from last year and a second matchup to draw from! Either way beautifully done 1 Quote

For now, We good! They actually showed how bad the blocking was that cost the Bills a TD on that third down play, which is why I mentioned it. Of course if they scored it is 34-28 and vs. 30-28 and a lot could have played out differently. Quote
