HerdMenatlity1 Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Great win but, Hey Josh, WTH was with the blind chuck into the end zone!?!? Didn’t think anyone would ask, since he “brought us back”. Thank you Houston’s db. Whoever you are. 4 7 2 4 14 Quote

bubba2018 Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I honestly think Palmer and him weren’t on the same page and having DJ moore out hurt for that play 3 1 Quote
Steptide Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (edited) Honestly I put that more on Palmer. Had no clue where the ball even was Edited September 13 by Steptide 8 5 1 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted September 13 Posted September 13 It was reminiscent of his earlier days. He basically was putting his trust in Palmer in a one on one situation. It had worked a couple of other times earlier in the game with Kincaid and DJ Moore twice but i will agree it’s wrong timing to do that when you have at least a FG attempt in your pocket to give the team the lead. Made up for it on the next play 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I don't know when I saw it live it felt like the DB knocked the WR out of the route and then tried to make a play on the ball, which kind of feels like PI to me. 1 1 Quote

Danger Mouse Posted September 13 Posted September 13 mad how fine the margins between winning and losing are. lassister does what he usually does on that play, and brady's getting put in a 50-foot-high wicker prison tonight. but as it stands, we're winning the superbowl! 1 1 Quote

Made up for it on the next play Allen still struggles with the deep ball in multiple ways. He too often under throws it...like he did to Moore earlier that ended up being PI in the endzone to bail that play out because a well thrown ball is a TD there as Moore had the DB torched until he had to wait for it. He was also late on the throw and then put way too much air on it. Or he too often makes a bad decision - he had 2 today...one into double coverage to Moore in the 4th when he had Palmer wide open for a 10-15 yard gain and then this play in question where he heaved it. Overall, exceptional game for Allen outside those plays. BUT - OP isn't wrong, Lassiter (a damn good DB) dropping a freebie gimme INT was a very lucky break for us as that likely ends the game. Josh made up for it with another sensational TD strike to Palmer, but if we are being fair and unbiased, that play shouldn't have happened if he doesn't drop the gimme INT. 5 minutes ago, Simon said: I bet he was cussing himself the second the ball left his hand FOR SURE he was...they will be watching that in film this week, and as some posters have said, I think it was a bad decision by him and also think Palmer wasn't on the same page.
