BillsPride12 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Contrary to what was originally reported and speculated there is going to be an actual Wall of Fame going up in the new stadium as well 8 1 1 Quote

Augie Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I don’t know how large this collection of players will be, but it would be nice if Butch Byrd was finally recognized. 5 2 2 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted September 3 Posted September 3 The gold color for Ralph Wilson’s name is a disaster. I should have added that when everyone was piling on about how terrible the new stadium is. I sit directly across from it and you can’t read it (at all). I just remember that it was gold in the old stadium so know that is him. It looks terrible. 🤣🤣 The stadium is beautiful though. It’s not perfect. The WOF is pretty much a joke to me. It is a pretty terrible representation of the Bills story. There are obvious guys up there. There are obvious omissions (some with good reason and some without). There’s a few people that you can’t tell the “Bills story” without. There are a few guys that have absolutely no business being immortalized like that. I was hoping that the area around the statues out front was going to be enough. 1 Quote

I was hoping that the area around the statues out front was going to be enough. That's too bad the gold color doesn't look good in person. I was going to say I thought that was a nice touch that they were doing all of the Hall of Famer's names in Gold I kind of agree about the Wall of Fame itself though. Thought it was being replaced by the Family Monument park they were doing outside of the stadium, and they were already putting the names of the retired players up on the Wall of the Stadium, to me it feels like this is overkill now? I'm also questioning if this was a last minute decision to appease some of the fans who were disappointed by not having a Wall of Fame inside the new stadium because it was reported quite some time ago the Bills were not interested in doing one in the new stadium. Why would they have waited this long to include this otherwise? Edited September 3 by BillsPride12 2 2 Quote

GASabresIUFan Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Eric Moulds, Kyle Williams, and Joe Devlin would be a nice additions. Quote

As players they obviously belong but what happened off the field matters. There are 2 that obviously have no business on there and that’s Ritcher and Hansen. They were 2 role players that were not among the 5 best players on their respective sides of the ball on their teams!! That’s the equivalent of putting Mitch Morse and Greg Rousseau up there. It’s ridiculous and please no one try to defend those selections. They don’t belong -period. The obvious that should be up there already are Ruben Brown, Butch Byrd and Eric Moulds. Kyle Williams has probably been gone long enough at this point that he’s in that neighborhood. There are lots of others that warrant consideration but I won’t list them all. Most of them become a matter of personal preference. There are a bunch of guys from the current era that COULD end up on there. The only 2 locks are Allen and Dawkins. 44 minutes ago, BillsPride12 said: That's too bad the gold color doesn't look good in person. T.E. Posted September 3 Posted September 3 It's amazing to me that there are Bills fans who will disparage a guy like Jim Ritcher, a multiple Pro Bowler who started every single game for 11 years straight during the best era in franchise history, and then turn around and talk about Dion Dawkins like he has a chance to make the Pro Football HOF. Total Bizarro World. 1 1 1 Quote

Total Bizarro World. You can call me out directly. Don’t be afraid to use the quote feature. Dion Dawkins accomplishments and importance to the Bills are 25x that of Jim Ritcher. Dawkins has been named to the last 5 pro bowls protecting Josh Allen’s blindside. He has been named one of the 100 best players in football for like 4 straight years. Jim Ritcher was a quality guard that went to a couple of pro bowls. He was Mitch Morse. That is a nice player. That is not a guy that you immortalize. Ritcher being on there is a disgrace. Hansen being on there is a bigger disgrace. 1 Quote

Yeah, but can Dion fly commercial jets for American Airlines and rise to the rank of Captain? 1 1 Quote
