Got it, thanks for proving my point.

He jokes about affordability while people can't make ends meet.  I was talking to a couple in a doctor's office today.  iIt's a specialist referral area 50 miles from me and 30 miles from the couple.  They were complaining about the gas to get there.  They looked like typical rural trump voters around here.  I think these are people fed up with inflation.  If not, they should be since their standard of living is dropping every day that trump remains.  Nice folks tho.  I didn't dare bring up politics.

2022 - what is a woman?

2026- what is a murderer?

There's going to be copycats 1,000%

Regardless if she should be in a prison or a mental institution the fact is calling her not guilty is ridiculous

She admitted to killing her children she is absolutely guilty of something.. whether or not you think she was in her right mind

This is going to open floodgates to more people with mental issues to killing their children 1 billion percent you could bet your ass

It's not even my opinion this is going to have copycats and people thinking they can claim insanity

So yes that's why it should be open and shut...

Justice for the children... It's a terrible tragedy what happened to her children

She could be insane and also guilty of doing the crime and then she should be in a nut house for the rest of her life... But it shouldn't be Not guilty by insanity... It should be guilty but insane

And those little nuances are key

She Is a murderer... That's a fact.. you can call her insane but she is a murderer

Oh I shame that troll every chance I get. I’m embarrassed we’re both registered as democrats since people like him - who are just hysterical - do far more harm to the left’s chances of shifting power than any MAGA ever could.

Also I want to make this clear this has nothing to do if you're a Republican or a Democrat

The letter of the law is not applied evenly throughout this country.. does everybody understand that?

The jury would not have deliberated for 36 hours in Virginia Florida or Texas she would have been convicted very fast .. whether the jury was filled with Democrats or Republicans

This is taking longer because it's in Massachusetts where they have feelings..

That's the truth also...  The law of the land is not held strickly the same everywhere

So yes she would be guilty in Virginia she's probably going to be found not guilty by reason of insanity in Massachusetts

The only fact is she is a murderer.. she killed people that makes you a murderer

You can argue her mental state all you want.. but I'd also argue most murderers are not in the right State when murdering

So convictions come down to where you're located.. not how innocent or guilty you are...

Because you can be convicted in multiple States but other states will let you walk because they have as I said feelings

The idea of not guilty by insanity wasn't just plucked from the air.  A great deal of legal debate has focused on it.  kinda like infectious disease in medicine.  but you just know better.  Why do you think that is?

I'm not doubting that Insanity can be an issue... I'm saying the wording of it is absolutely wrong in the moral sense

Because as I said people will now copycat this.. it's not my opinion people will look at Clancy murder their children and say they're insane.. and they might have a jury by it

Regardless if they're insane or not

So morally the correct thing would be they are guilty but they are mentally insane.. which should leave no doubt that they could ever leave a mental institution

If you plead mental Insanity to a murder and you get off ...you should still never see the light of day...

And you should still be considered a murderer who did it in insanity...

Psychopaths are insane.. we don't let them off the hook for their crimes typically.. again if this was in Virginia she would be convicted but Massachusetts has feelings

Well as I just said you think being possibly Not guilty by Insanity in Massachusetts would work everywhere

No a lot of states in this country would convict her which is why I said there is no standard process in this country

It has plenty to do with where the trial is taking place...

A place like Massachusetts that rehabilitates criminals is much more likely to have forgiveness and think she's not guilty... Then a state like Virginia where they would not have even delivered for 24 hours

In Virginia is full of Democrats and Republicans.. it's not a one-sided state.. the jury in Virginia would have convicted her in one day

So that shows where you get the trial means just as much

I mean plenty of people have pled insanity and been convicted... It's easier in Massachusetts to get somebody to buy it

If you plead Insanity I think it should always come with guilty next to it just for implications... Even if you go to a mental institution

I Understand people saying she should be in a mental institution not a prison.. but I think it should still carry the weight of guiltiness

There is no justice when you don't have to accept guilt... Not guilty by insanity leaves no accountability

only 4 states disallow the insanity defense.  Have you ever been to a mental hospital?  Ever been around crazy people?

Well actually Virginia pleading Not guilty by Insanity extremely rigorous

Successful insanity acquittals are an extreme rarity in the The Current State of the Insanity Defense in Virginia legal system.

Strict Legal Standard: Virginia uses a strict combination of the M'Naghten rule and the "irresistible impulse" test

She doesn't pass that she would have been convicted.. Texas would have convicted her too

A state like New York might have found her Not guilty by insanity... Like Massachusetts probably will

That's the point where you get the trial means more.. that is absolutely the truth

This trial will have different verdicts in different states showing the justice system is very uneven

I have to be clear here that in Massachusetts once the defense rested its case on Not guilty by Insanity the burden shifts to the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was criminally responsible.

In Virginia it would have been on the defense to prove it beyond A reasonable doubt within their guidelines which would not have happened... That is a massive distinction and one favors the prosecution and one favors the defense

It is strictly a state by state thing now determining your fate

A woman in Florida just got to use stand her ground for shooting a man in the parking lot who was intimidating her without any violence... A lot of states she would have been charged with murder

Most states you can't shoot somebody for verbal words and feeling scared.. Florida says hold my beer.. you have the right to defend yourself

Most states you need to meet violence with appropriate violence

I’ll say this.. Southerners are WAY different than Northerners.

Democrats in Georgia run on law and order and even immigration enforcement.  They don’t touch the trans issue.

The Democrat Mayor of Atlanta was running campaign ads like he was Trump.

The conservatives are either MAGA or Rubio types and the liberals are reigned in by Bible believing Black Democrats.

The most right wing people I know are New York/New Jersey Italians, but they’re drowned out by a rabidly progressive strain of politics due to who’s leaving the North and what they’re being replaced with.

“Politics are downstream from Culture”

I find it incredibly hard to believe a jury in the South would’ve looked at that evidence and been 11-1 the way the Massachusetts jury was.   Maybe it’s 10-2 the other way and it’s still a mistrial but where a case is tried could not be more relevant than now.
