Goin Breakdown Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Neck too. I don't trust any "return" theories/ projections when it comes to necks. Quote

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that spot is already filled. It was done on cutdown day and we have 53 5 7 1 Quote
BarleyNY Posted September 2 Posted September 2 That’s awful. Hope Durant is okay. Neck injuries are scary stuff. On another note, TRACE MCSORLEY is a Bills coach!?!?!? Wow. Quote

Wow. He was a smart, gutsy QB at Penn State. Not physically gifted, but his smarts and drive was fun to watch. 1 Quote
The Jokeman Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I'd think Greg Dortch is the obvious add to the 53. As gives us the return man we need and an option in passing game if Keion is still hobbled. 1 Quote

A stinger shouldn't put a guy on the shelf for a month so I don't know what he's got going on. 42 minutes ago, The Jokeman said: if Keion is still hobbled. 2 minutes ago, Breakout Squad said: The Keon horse has been beaten and buried. Durant was IR'd designated to return on the cut to 53. There is no opening on the active roster. 1 Quote

This was already done before the Roster was finalized. It doesn't open up a roster spot. 1 Quote

NickelCity Posted September 2 Posted September 2 "I don't think it's out of the question that he could be back when the rules allow, which the earliest would be Game 5. I don't think that's off the table," said Beane." 2 Quote
Sojourner Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Do we think this is essentially a stash the player type move on the injury front or is he genuinely injured? The consensus I read by many on here was that DeWayne Carter was unlikely to make the roster, yet here we are. Durant back healthy and Gaines or Carter removed from the roster if it’s a like for like roster move? 1 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I hate when I see a young rookie has a hiccup before he even gets started, and a neck to boot. Those can be dangerous. I’ll just say a prayer for the guy for a speedy recovery. If four weeks plus these last 10 days helps him, then better to be conservative in the approach. Quote

Maynard Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I don’t like that it’s his neck, but I feel it’s not that serious. I think he was IR’d to give Carter a chance for the first four weeks of the season. If Carter fails to show up, I could see him getting cut and Durant placed on the active roster. Just hypothesizing of course. Quote

I get what you're saying, but Beane himself said it was stinger type or stinger esque. He used the word stinger with some qualifier in his presser, I just don't remember exactly the qualifier 1 Quote
