I'd go 12-5, I also think we start out better than people realize. The opposition is not going to have a road map to play us early in the year and it will pay off.

That’s right, thanks for correcting me. 14-3 then!!!!

The speed of Detroit’s offense against à newer scheme to most of the players this early in the schedule is what lends me to pencil it as a loss.

Im with you Donuts in 12-5.  I’d love a better result, but no matter how positive I can be on my team, I do my best to be practical.  12-5 is still an excellent record after a much tougher opponents this year.

With another week or so until game 1, I wouldn't be surprised if Dortch is activated.  We probably shouldn't have been surprised by Beane signing him as our WR and ST coaches, coached Dortch in Arizona.  Last season he had 811 yards on kickoff returns (26.2 yard per return) and 185 in punt returns (11.6 yards per return).

With this schedule, if we get 13 wins with QB Josh Alien and RB James Cook healthy and no crucial injury losses within defense and o-line, we're super dangerous for any team we face in the playoffs.

Then 6-0 through week 12

We then finish 3-3 with losses on the road to NE and Den and a resting players loss to the NYJ in week 18 as we would have already clinched the division.

Gun, buddy, I am not fantasizing about HFA, but I won't argue against anyone who believes they are going to do it.

 

However, just win the division.  I am fine going 1 or 2 games on the road.  The boys proved it last year, and the really (REALLY) almost did it twice and to be honest, even with a depleted WR group, would have gone on to the Super Bowl (then it would have ended there).

 

I love McD and praise him for the things he did here. However, I hope that with his leaving we might possibly say good-bye to the at least once a year random loss to a team that stinks.  It would help a lot.

 

People can criticize the Broncos all they want, but it didn't really happen to them.

Usually see this thread floating at the top of the front page before the season starts, but it seems like it's not as "official" this year.

 

My predictions for the AFC East:

 

1) Pats: 12-5 (ew)

2) Bills: 11-6

3) Jets: 7-10

4) Dolphins: 4-13

 

I think with a tougher schedule, new HC, new defense & the inevitable injuries to our secondary, it'll be a tough 11-6.

I’m on the 12-5 train, and this year might be the one that finally gets them that #1 seed.  Wouldn’t that be nice.  They won 10 games in 2019, and 11-13 wins from 2020-2025.  Why not keep it going to 12-5 again.  I don’t see Denver, Jax, definitely not the Pats doing 13-14 wins.  12 might do it for 2026.

i think it’s a brutal schedule.  Good thing we play the Jets and Miami twice.
