I'm looking forward to seeing him back but the the whole Rams dream team stuff is giving me bad vibes and I wonder if they won't end up being a huge disappointment. The fact that they have such a great coach makes me lean towards that not happening but I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't understand the people comparing this Rams team to that "Dream Team" Eagles team. The Rams are a proven commodity who were good enough to win the Super Bowl last year and have only gotten better this year. 

 

I'm not saying it's a guarantee they are winning the Super Bowl this year or everybody else should forfeit the season but the people that are downplaying the Rams will be in for a surprise. They will be right in the mix for contending for a Lombardi.

If you haven’t seen Donald recently look him up.  He is in absolutely incredible shape.  If he is still flexible I think he will be dominant. I actually think 2 years away will help him, no wear and tear.  
 

myles Garrett is also the best defensive player in a generation, and it’s not even that close.  He is Bruce Smith or Reggie White level good. 

 

im personally one that believes there’s not much a D can do with the rules these days.  But I can’t imagine them not being a top 3 D

That doesn't always work out in the NFL... It didn't work out for the eagles dream team... They're another year older.. Stafford's another year older...

 

I mean yea Seattle lost some pieces but they're still the champs until they get dethroned ... LA has a lot of talent but I'm not willing to throne them the champs yet

That's fine.  I agree that anything can happen,  and that goes for 32 teams every single year.   You said they don't even have the #1 roster in the NFL right now.  I'm asking who,  in your opinion,  it's better?

Yeah,  obviously Donald is older,  but he is an absolute freak of nature,  and it's been clear this entire time that he stayed in incredible shape.  Conditioning probably needed some work,  but it's not like he sat around for 2 years.  And he is one of those guys that goes to great lengths to take care of his body.

I know right!?  I think they’ve only used a 1st round pick once in the last number of years, and they drafted the defensive rookie of the year lol.  They also got a stud DT that same draft who had more sacks than the DROY did.

They have the most names I just said I don't think they are the best team 

 

Call me a homer I would take the Buffalo Bills over the Rams because there's going to be too much ego in that room 

 

I think Seattle until they are out are better.. it's not like the Rams didn't have a pass rush they got rid of one of the best young pass rushers in the league... For the Hall of famer 

 

But they're not going from bad to best.. they're just going from really good to somebody even better so I think the impact is going to be not as big as people realize because they already had a really really really good NFL player there 

 

Verse might not be Garrett.. the impact going from D to A+ is a lot more noticeable than going from A- to A++

 

I like how the Buffalo Bills would match up against the Rams in a hypothetical... Growing up I was always told the champs are the champs till they're not in anymore .. so Seattle is my number one until they're knocked out, they still have a lot of talent and they're the team to beat... they're the champs

Agreed. Not sure anyone is better at getting super high value talent later in the draft. Even these trades where they seem to give away the farm, in the end, it seems like they come out ahead.

Kinda surprised they didn't just make a handshake agreement for him to join around trade deadline for the playoffs.  Guess he wouldn't have been able to get as much though if he did that

It’s going to be a Rams and Bills SB. That’s my gut feeling. The coaching and upgraded defense is what’s finally gonna push us over the top.

Goodell probably paying him out of his pocket so LA can win another Super Bowl. I believe 30 other teams would have taken the trade the Rams got Von Miller for years ago but he went to the Rams who at the point had no money and no picks. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Have you ever heard of the fearsome foursome, no name defense, and so on.  Yes, they will be excellent, but they were excellent last year.  Donald’s in great shape, but he is 35.  He’ll probably give it a whirl for one year, evaded TC, and pad his wealth by another $20 mil. Minus the taxes and agent fees.

 

Im jealous we don’t have those guys.  On a side note, someone started a thread on who would beat the Bills, and my answer was the Rams.  I’m doing g my best to be cautiously optimistic on us finally making it to the SB.  My hope is it’s us a.the Rams.  That would be a heckova. February.

Super Team, indeed, but the 49ers, Pats, and Cowboys were +200, +250 and +250 in ‘94, ‘07 and ‘72, respectively.  Different regular season and playoff formats, of course.
