What streak?  They haven’t played one regular season game in Highmark.  The old Highmark is gone.  The season starts in two weeks.  I realize flash your excited, but it’s meaningless games.  They told the coaches along with practices who were players 48-53 on this team.  We’ll find out around 5 pm, then in a couple of days we’ll know the 17 on the PS.

I think he’s trying to place a positive spin on it stating how fast weve started, but agreed with you, we've really done nothing yet.  I’m just glad we finally are getting to the real games.  I can see how you’d state a negative slant as were speculating on our first loss.  For me, I’m more focused on our first win and then keep going.

You are like a bad penny Virg., but we luv ya anyway.  Maybe you can dig up the Greg Brady tiki like episode in Hawaii and reverse the mojo.  Man that show really jumped the shark when they had that episode.  I don’t know if you’re old enough to watch the reruns on Ch. 29 growing up.

 

It’s funny when we were kids of the 5 channels we had in the late 70’s, my favorite was Ch. 29.  ABC, NBC, CBS, and CBC.  Then there was Ch. 29.

I get it, but as we all know preseason is just a glorified practice. Regardless, I’ll take the win every time. Bass seems to have settled down (this a big one, there will be many close games in the tough AFC.) Skyler Bell put up a good stat line, but after watching a breakdown of every route, he was open a lot. Missed a potential TD. Not totally on the QB as the pocket was collapsing quick, but a throw Josh would’ve saw immediately. 
 

I subscribe to the same mentality as you do. One win at a time. Never get too high or too low (although I lean a little more toward the optimistic mindset.) McDermott always had his team starting fast. I hope Brady can carry that tradition on. The mid-season slumps have got to go. That’s why we keep missing the #1 seed. We always have 1 or 2 games we blow against inferior opponents, but then again 1-2 games that we had no business winning. His in game coaching has always been subpar to down right terrible. 
 

If we can get a few contributors from this draft class and the 2nd & 3rd year guys make that jump, Hoecht comes off his injuries most unscathed, and our running game picks up where it left off, it’s totally possible that we can go undefeated at home, but I’m not looking that far ahead.

Why would the Jets want to win, when a loss will guarantee them the first pick of the draft?

Coaches don't coach for and players don't play for better draft picks. We see almost every year some team that would have finished with a top 3 pick win in the final week or two of the season and drop out of the top 5.
