If that's true, then the field they've had down since October was really a problem.

 

Anybody buying the "this is totally normal" line they are giving you should look around and ask how many other grass fields are getting resodded right now. It's way more "normal" after a field gets destroyed playing on it in a huge rainstorm or like in Pittsburgh when they sometimes play college and NFL games on it in back to back days in poor weather. It's not "normal" to have to resod it in August. If it were the plan they would have told you that back when it first came up as a topic a couple weeks ago. 

 

Despite what they've been telling you this is going to have to happen a couple more times and the later in the season it happens the bigger problem it's going to be. Wet weather/snow are going to make it worse. A big lake effect event followed by a game is going to be a significant problem.

I noticed especially on the kickoff returns the other night how huge chunks of grass got torn up when the guys cut. Can’t see how brand new turf will prevent that from happening vs Detroit.   But it will look flawless and pristine for the national anthem and stuff, i’ll concede that.

From my understanding and AI assistance its basically saying the 10months progress, grass planted OCT '25, is gone.

 

 

 

Torn out and laid new? That can not be normal. How is 3 weeks better than 10months? They f'd something up terribly. Sounds like a disaster

Everything is touched and removed besides what they preserve... the engineered subsurface infrastructure—such as a sand-based rootzone, drainage systems, and underground heating pipes.

 

That all stays untouched

 

But they do bring in mature sod that is specifically designed for football fields it's a lot thicker... This is more of a preemptive thing 

 

It actually doesn't show there was an error with putting in the old grass.. this is what happens when you use grass

 

And there's going to be a little process of dialing it in which they are getting ahead of the curve with now instead of being too late

It does not mean the bills messed up 

 

There is a dialing in process with a real grass playing field which they are being preemptive with 

 

Instead of behind the eight ball

 

This is not the first time this has happened with football stadiums with real grass 

 

When the Steelers put in their brand new grass field back in the day.. Kentucky bluegrass into sand base they re sodded it within a couple weeks too.. when the browns had their brand new stadium built and they're brand new grass field it didn't last 3 weeks before it's first re sod

 

It's touchy.. and it happens with freshly laid down grass fields all the time

When Pittsburgh stadium got their brand new grass field- Kentucky bluegrass over sand back in the day.... it was re sodded within weeks also.. because of wear and tear in August

 

When the Cleveland browns put in there new grassfield in their new stadium back in the day it lasted 2 weeks before the 1st re sod

 

This happens More than People realize 

 

And the bills are set up the same way as the browns and pitt

Stadium grass can be a difficult thing to establish, Wrexham FC had a similar problem in Wales a year or two back, frankly I’m not surprised,

If they install a dirt infield for baseball, nobody will notice the chunks of turf torn up and just relax as we can go back to our beginnings.
