He'll probably be a weekly inactive when everyone is healthy but the odds of everyone staying healthy all year is basically 0, so he'll get some kind of opportunity. Hell who even knows if Keon is ready to go week 1. I'm not really concerned with what he can provide to the offense in year 1, but I do want to have a sense going into the offseason how he projects moving forward. Like can we feel comfortable with letting Palmer go and having Bell take his spot in 2027?

Moore, Palmer, Shakir, Coleman, Bell and Sherfield will make the squad. I don’t think Bell sees a game day jersey right away.

It was nice to see Bell last night.  Whether he plays this season or not is up to him.  How he performs in practice along with injuries will determine how much playing time he achieves.

That TD run gave me hope that Bell can, at the very least, be a gadget WR5 this season. But it’s inevitable that injuries to WRs in front of him will give him a bigger opportunity. Just gotta get chemistry with Josh

He has better wheels than Diggs. While Diggs had deep weapon ability in his prime, he didn't run a 4.4 forty. Bell showed the straight line speed on the way to the end zone last night.

I was going to say the same in regard to Diggs. I like how he was able to find spots in the coverage and if Buechele didn't sail that pass, he would've had an even more impressive night.

Man, I already had the thought based on his college tape and have stated as much here, but he really does look like Diggs with the ball in his hands. If he continues to grow as a receiver and stays healthy, he's going to be a nice piece moving forward.

I came here to say this.  He reminds me a lot of Diggs in his motion out there.  The way he catches with his hands, the routes he runs.  I’m not saying he’s going to be Diggs, because that’s insane.  But if you put 14 on him, I would have thought we brought him back for this game.

He was force fed the ball and looked solid not spectacular.. clearly that was the plan... I don't think he's got much ability to bring in the ball down field rn on NFL starters... But can work short intermediate stuff 

 

I mean he's a rookie so he's got time to grow but I don't see the guy getting a lot of touches in regular season... Unless we get some wr injuries 

 

He's going to be the fifth or sixth guy

You could be right about this, but honestly, Josh absolutely feasts with guys who get open short and intermediate regularly. It has been the big issue with guys like gabe and keon (previously).
